Officer Wilson not indicted in killing of Michael Brown

after a thorough investigation and weighing of the evidence the grand jury has decided not to indict the officer.. the reaction so far seems as predicted - people refuse to accept that the result represents justice despite claims that is what they wanted.. there is now violence and vandalism, including gunshots.

let's hope the police contain the troublemakers.. .

Just being poor is a minority. There is such hatred of the poor. I saw this growing up . Everytime my parents had to take us to a doctor and beg the doctor to see us on credit, it was just degrading. They would humilate you in ways I still can feel. My sibling lost use of a sensory organ due to lack of care from a doctor. There was NO sure thing as they HAD to see you in the ER. That is NOW. ( even now they triage you and THEY decide if it is an emergency -not you) County hospitals treated the poor like criminals until HIV came along. With the new customers being of a higher social level ( and gay) and used to not being treated like cattle- well, Parkland's bad treatment of the poor made the paper. How could this be? It BE alright and the poor knew it all along . The Poor included white, blacks mexicans & everyone else. Everyone else ( not poor ) was shocked but not the poor. It only subsided briefly, it still goes on.

Being Poor trumps being black or any other minority.

Was justice served fairly in the Micheal Brown tragedy, whats your opinion ?

the michael brown tragedy has garnered a lot of attention in the media recently highlighted.

by the recent county court decision to not indict the lone officer who did the shooting which caused the death of micheal brown.. .. now after more information of the event has been released openly to the public, we can evaluate upon are self.

in are own opinion toward was the law handed out in this particular event proportionately fair or to a professional standard ?.

actually Lisa I helped a black man ( minister ) eat at that diner ( at age 12-13 I was)and both of us were asked to leave and I was told I was not a proper Christian girl ( READ WHITE GIRL) and I could not come back. We were treated badly in the community, Lisa. You did not grow up there Lisa and know not of what I speak.

Well, regrading white privliege - I grew up in a small town in Texas. We were poorer than most of the community. ( my father moved us into the best community he could in hopes of rasing our standard of living- instead they just rejected us) We were treated as if we were black but better than a mexican at that time. Mexicans at that time could not even come in some stores. Mostly they were mirigrant workers. This was the 50's/60's . There were REALLY signs in front of Woothworths diner that Coloreds could not be served.

White privilege does not apply to all whites and if you don't know that then you have never been poor and had whites consider you to be no better than blacks or mexicans. They like to call us poor white trash, basically we are white blacks.

Yes I believe in the spirit world and if there is any information to be gained that is where it comes from . OTOH, Tarot can be very helpful for self therapy. You would not need to be psychic to use it. Many ( if not most) psychics are frauds but there are some real ones. The process works a bit like what is portrayed in the movie " The Gift". I seldom say too much in these threads b/c of the mocking. In the end,believe what you want.

it's likely that the grand jury verdict on the michael brown incident will be released in the coming days or weeks.. i've no doubt many people are going to feel strongly about things whatever the verdict is.. whatever the outcome though, here's what's not going to happen:.

we're not going to put up with inflamatory language and comments designed to rile others up.

be respectful.. we will not allow accusations of racism simply because some have a view of the verdict that contradicts others.. there will not be invented evidence or claims being repeated - if it's been falsely reported or debunked then it's off limits.. it's not going to be an opportunity for people to air past gripes over past discussions.. if you feel that you cannot discuss the subject in a rational way then it may be better to simply avoid any topics on the matter.. please try to be objective and respectful if you do decide to comment and not keen to take offense.

The FBI has been active in the area undercover . There appears to be groups there looking for trouble no-matter-what.

Bill Cosby - too much smoke for no fire?

it seems like the list of people who are accusing him of rape and sexual assault is growing every day.

i'm skeptical of single accusations but the number of people and the similar stories seem overwhelming now.. it's not a conviction but to the court of public opinion ... guilty?.

I swear if someone tells me that Captin Kangaroo or Mr. Rogers is/was a pedo I will just never believe anyone ever again. I grew up loving Cosby but I beleive he is guilty. Dear Gawd, please no one say Bob Newhart did this kind of stuff? I let my kids listen to Cosby and Newhart b/c they were so clean. I guess we should not expect comedians to be examples of virture, but we all did.

There are many poor people in usa that lack food. During the 80's my hubby was unemployed for 1.5 yrs and the we did go without food and the kids occ would eat at the neighbors and my hubby and I just did not eat. One of my sons said he did remember being hungry. You have no idea how that makes a mother feel. I would starve and let my kids eat first. It was a horrible time and i shudder every time I recall it. I had to go to places to beg for help and they would look at you like refuse. NO help from the loving brothers. I will never forget or forgive any of them.

Tal, I know cops too and yes it does happen but most of them are good and decent people. The streets would not be safe to walk without them.

Fox news alert just said the National Guard is on alert in anticipation of the verdict. I just feel sick about this, either way this is not going to be good. There will be less destruction and death if the officer is found guilty but it all has a sickening mob air about it. It feels like the 50'sand 60's again and I was there so I can say that.
