as soon as i had asked to meet with elder w, and explained briefly what happened, he said: if i had known it was this serious, i would have had another elder here, this is a judicial matter.

it seems that i'm a dangerous man.. last time we went over to vist my dad in canada, my sister rang the local congregation to warn them that i was going!.

wow ... i feel like 'the jackal' or something ... international danger man!.

what sad pathetic little lives they lead ...

You must be very important. Why would they care where you live? What do you think your sister believed she was accomplishing by the phone call. Maybe saving them from knocking on your door? Ok, one house scratched off the list. Do you think the local elders care. You don't seem like the type to get violent.

my future brother in law (futurebro) is a great guy, as ive mentioned.

he really cares about people, doesnt want to hurt anyones feelings.

yet, now he was trapped between doing the right thing, and possibly losing his parents.

My mom said that family, in the end, is the most important thing, and that your friends, associates, and even God can leave you, but that family is always there. I think that’s what helped me to leave the most. Sometimes we can survive living in hell, but we can’t stand our families doing so. I’ve enjoyed my family becoming so much closer since all of this started.

In my life it's always been the people that have disappointed me. God has always been there even when I've not been aware. I'm not talking about religion, but God.

Accually my doubts started when the PO's son DA'd. They were treating him so badly when he was mentally ill. Sometime I'll tell this story. Now the poor young man is lost in drinking and drugging and now he's in jail.

Living forever or immortal ?

just a thought ... when describing jws and what they believe, be sure to tell people that they think they are immortal and will never die as this seems to sound a bit more 'looney tunes' than that they will live forever.. well, does to me anyway.

did you ever imagine how it sounded to joe public on the door while you showed them a crappy picture of 'paradise' from the livre forever book?

This is the main reason why the WTS is protecting child abusers. Nothing must "hurt" the holy and almighty ORGANIZATION. No evil deed, no act is too filthy that it can't be hushed up, swept under the carpet in order to keep the WT facade "clean".

So true! And in all religions.

What I wonder about is who is paying for the commercials. Local congs or WT.

Attracted To What Types?

i tend to find myself attracted to the extremes.

either woman who are very nice and sweet or woman who are wild and crazy.

however, i don't like woman who are rude and have a lot of attitude.. many guys like blonds, but i tend to like dark haired woman better.

I don't know why but I love beards, neatly trimmed and manly physical men. But he has to be intelligent and keep up with me. Not that I'm all that smart but I think fast and too much. Fortunately, I have one of those right here, my husband, but without the beard since you know what.I also tend to be more attracted to European men.

Farm subsidies result in lower food prices; in many parts of the world persons pay more 1/3 to 1/5 their income for food. In the US we pay considerably less and have more disposable income.

Right or wrong this is the result of farm subsidies otherwise food prices wouldn't be so stable. The discussion of farm subsidies goes back to the reconstruction period.

Very interesting...Yesterday I was in the nursing area of the BR talking with a mother of two: a 2 yr old boy and an infant girl. We were teasing her about having more children and she protested "no way!" I said Well you have your replacements already and I didn't get my head chopped off for saying such a blasphemous thing. She's multigenerational JW so I was surprised.

I never thought the END would be in a few short years. There was too much territory to cover China, Mid East etc. It didn't make sense. Then I concluded that some just had such unbearable circumstances that they needed to believe the end would be any day now, poor souls.

Some of them have been moving on, getting divorced, remarring having more babies and getting DF'd. But they're not changing their circumstnces sometimes they choose worse partners and have more children . Plus they have their new spouses children makes six. This is disturbing don't they at least watch Ophra Winfey even if they don't read books. This is Ophra 101.[8>]
