These are incredible articles! These articles reveal the ridiculous thought processes of these doctrinal practices. While reading these articles I've contemplated how unbelievable it's that these men actually convinced many of us they were speaking for God.
They have used fear and ignorance to control the congregations and it's despicable.

i found this article of interest, because the jw's were mentioned by the senator from ireland.
i wonder how much of an impact this will have on the blood policy in ireland, if any at all?
the article does not say the woman was a jw or what faith she practiced.. any medical professional's see any reason for a jw to deny the use of retroviral drugs?

Many HIV infected persons go through a period of denial and refuse treatment regardless of their religion. Also, some HIV infected mothers refuse treatment during pregnancy and it's really about denial and not about religiosity.

Just to clarify for Free Range Incense:
I wasn't targeting anyone in particular or freerange pale whatever. I made a general comment about MY opinion concerning multiple accounts dominating the board with one persons mentality. It is freerange Incense that took personal offense to a general comment about this activity so maybe freerange is feeling guilty.
It seemed to be alright for a certain person to complain about Bill Bowen's silent Lambs dominating the board which is a legitimate JW issue.

Reborn I only had 40 posts on the second account before it was deactivated. It was only a few days when I used the posting limit of 25. At that time I was being confronted by many here and even being accused of being someone else. So, using 25 posts against the couple hundred posts the pack of rabid dogs can use is nothing by compassion. And most of those in the rabid dog pack have well known multiple accounts. One even recently flaunted his second account on the board. btw..He's one of your favorite posters here.

Frankly, that thread was sort of a joke between the ladies but Judy Chicago is a very famous female artist with many works in museums. These ladies didn't believe me when I spoke of her works so I posted a link for them to view her infamous art show form the 1970's. Most Art History of the World textbooks mention Judy Chicago and that show. You may wish to learn something about culture someday as well.
So, yes I consider it a sincere thread.

You obviously have a reading comprehension problem. So, I'll leave you with some advice to contact Literacy Volunteers of America. These volunteers maybe able to help with your reading difficulties. Since, you do have some basic reading skills you may only need a few months of assistance.

one of the most interesting things that i have noticed about being a witness is the awe that is given to bethelites.
it seems that if you are a bethelite, you are accorded special privleges in congregations.
you are honored when you visit a hall.
What do I have to say about bethelites...Hahaha...
Call me crazy but, I can't think of one use for acquaintances with patronizing attitudes.

SYN: I wasn't referring to your threads it was a general comment about why multiple accounts can be a problem even if they aren't usually involved with flame threads. Fluff is great but a glut of fluff makes the board less homogenous. If one poster posts 6 fluff threads everyday that one poster dominates the board with their ideas. This leaves little room for sincere threads to be enjoyed since we all only use the active forum. Lets say it would be similar to reading a newspaper with only comic strips by one or two persons and no content.
My imbue2 account was deleted so your using the wrong argument with me. I'm just pointing out that your excuses for a second account is only your assumption and not something Simon has posted as an escape clause.
I hope it doesn't seem like I'm giving you a hard time here and in other places. I enjoy your posts but you aren't aware of what goes on all the time. As you recently admitted in other places.

about a year ago, i decided to drift into a meeting in my old congregation.
who knows, maybe i thought by doing so my mother would love me again....but anyway - i noticed that there were 5 or 6 of the same "diehard jw" families there but otherwise all the people were completely different.
it seemed that 3/4 of the congregation left and their seats were taken by a new group of converts.

Yes, the JWs are a oppressed and meeting attendance is very low in most congregations. Many that have been 'faithful' for decades are leaving the org. They need make lives for themselves since the WT lied and they aren't prepared for the future. There is no doubt that the 1995' new generations doctrine has affected most dubs even if they don't realize how it has changed their mentality.
