  when i was a kid, i'm guessing 5 or 6 years old.

  the "smurfs are demonized" rumors started spreading around.

  after a few weeks of hearing that and having to throw away all my smurf toys, i was at the kingdom hall and a sister came in with a bookbag with a big picture of a smurf on it!

  Just had the Watchtower and Awake dropped off in the magazine rack at my work.

  i found the aug 1, 2009 wt, and the aug 2009 awake in the magazine rack at my work.

  i wrote on the cover with a big sharpie, "1-800-why-1914, www.freeminds.org, and www.jehovahs-witnesses.net .

  on the inside cover i wrote: "warning: contains cult propaganda" any other suggestions?

  Dont throw them away! write on them like I did other wise they'll keep comming back and recording them as placements.

  If you have left, how would you treat witnesss you run into ?

  i da'ed myself back in october 2008.. i also work at a local community college, where the witnesses have a booth set up during the winter months and usually there are 3 -4 people.

  just sitting there counting their time.. they are located in a student lounge area where i need to cross several times a day.. my question is this: would you just ignore them totally,.

  would you approach them if they made eye contact, or would you just approach them whenever and say hello ?

  I wouldn't talk to them but if they talk to you tell them how much better your life is now. Show them the benefits of being out of a mind controled religion in a tactfull way

  after all the years i have been here, i have slowly progressed to the point that the bible, god, and all the other religious stuff out there is just plain bullshit!!!

  yet when i first came here and was told by some of the members that that is what i would logically come to, i did not believe them, and yet they were right.

  i realize that a lot of people on this board have left, or are struggling with themselves or family to leave, yet many still believe.

  Ok these people are really starting to make sense. I'll be OK. If you have any information on neurology or how the WT puts fear into your head and causes the brain to see things (especially at a influencial age of 5-6) I would be really interested in reading it.
