A few years after I left I was very naughty. I got into some hard core drugs, stole a lot (cars, trucks, other items) robbed banks, stole identies. I was someone you DEFINATELY wouldn't want to upset or mess with or I'd show up at your door with a bunch of guys and firearms. (Which I actually did one time.) I was on the run from the police for over a year, they finally caught me while I was being chased by 20 squad cars, two helicopters, and the swat team. My wife and I hid by living on the hot streets of Phoenix, Az for nine months strait. I've now paid all my debts. You can now find me helping out neighbors, donating to outreach centers for the homeless, making wholesome freinds, contributing to the community, conducting neighborhood watch programs, and being a excellent husband and father to my family.

after realizing that i've been lied to my whole life from all the jw bullcrap should i lie to my child about santa claus?
do you think its ok to say, "be good or santa wont bring you any toys this christmas.

I love this web site and all of you have such amazing and real answers. I think I will carry on the teaching of Santa to make Christmas more magical for my son. In the future when he questions it I will explain to him that there was a man, who now is named Santa Claus who did give gifts, rode in a sleigh and gave gifts to children. Though those people he see's in the mall are not the real Santa they are carrying the tradition that Santa once had and makes it special for all the children. Sounds good right?

I was thinking about if I should start telling my 2 year old about Santa Claus. After realizing that I've been lied to my whole life from all the JW Bullcrap should I lie to my child about Santa Claus? Do you think its OK to say, "Be good or Santa wont bring you any toys this Christmas." I really want him to have a NORMAL life. Does this include making him think Santa comes down the chimney and gives toys to all the good children? My wife says,"YES, it is normal for a child to believe in Santa." What are your thoughts?

I have asked her to do things with me but not so in things she likes, lately I asked if she wants to go hiking with me and if she wants to go shooting with me at the range. Both times got turned down. She does however want to babysit my son, for my wife and I cause I pay good. I will ask her what she likes to do to try to include her in things.

My sister is a JW. Her daughter who is 15 has decided a long time ago not to join her in being a JW. (way to go) Unfortunately, she's been getting into a lot of trouble lately. She has been experimenting with pot, stealing, and got caught drinking at school because she was blatently drunk and throwing up in a barrel. The cops were called and my sister had to go to school, to pick her up as she is now suspended. She also has to go through some AA meetings. Her only reactions were how cool it was to be so smashed at school. My family is looking at her shaking their heads going, "thats what happens when you leave the truth." I tried talking to her and telling her her self-destructive behavior may be do to her mom and dad getting devorced a few years ago as she was a real "daddy's girl" now he doesn't spend time with her at all. I tried explaining to her that once she knows whats bothering her she will stop physically hurting herself to express how she is hurt on the inside. She is so young she doesn't understand what I'm saying and just expains to me she only did what she did because she can, and not for anyother reason. UGH! What are your thoughts? Is their anything I can do as her Uncle that can help her?

Being born into JWs I feel I was forced to live that life and most are. With disownment from family and fear of being D'fd most people who are Jw's are not free to choose even when realizing the BS the Jw religion is. out of the Brainwashing fear they find themselves unable to choose whats right for them. So with JW's no I don't support freedom of religion.
