Are 800 new JWs really baptised per day?
by losthusband ini came across the quote below on a yahoo answers page discussing the growth of religon:.
i'm one of jehovah's witnesses and on average every day 800 people are baptized as jehovah's witnesses.
these are individuals who have studied the bible for a period of time and have to show that they understand, truly believe and want to live by god's standards.

The WBT$ Corporation is a printing business. If they actually think they have the most important message in the world, why no post it all on-line or have a TV show about it. The answer is clear. They are here to sell books, bible's, magazines, ect. They don't want their publications to be available to anyone except through them. Its not good for business.

My favorite song was, "Make the truth your own" and when I did make the truth my own instead of the Governing Body's own I was DF'ed!
I think its funny. I think that song was written by someone in a jail cell. (seriously) The Org. writes a song about thinking on your own, Everyone sings it, and nobody realizes its content about independent thinking. Man they shure got everyone brainwashed

This Chapter in the bible was my very first talk I gave at the age of 7 years old. I was in the first grade. I later discovered this Chapter was such a significant point in my life. I gave this talk as a publisher,and it always stayed in my mind so I know it must be of imprortance. I was the youngest born and the only son of nine children. This Chapter as I grew older became more and more real to me as I became more muture. The whole Chapter is about becoming an independent thinker, and always searching for the truth. At an early age I remember this scripture and know I have lived up to it from this day. When I was 20 I had left the JW because I knew in my heart that something was wrong. I knew somehow this was not the truth. 10 years later I am finding out exactly what it was that my heart was telling me. For this chapter that was I was forced to study with my dad I was reading it with tears in my eyes, I will remember all my life. It talks about listening with your heart. It talks about finding the very knowedge of God. It talks about dealing with the immoral people on the earth, and walking in the way of God that is of your own. The very thing the the WBT$ dosen't want you to do. They say to you, "This is the truth, you don't have to look any further." Proverbs Chapter 2 states, that we must keep seeking for it as for silver, and for hid treasures you keep seaching for it. Why should we keep searching for it, if JW's say they already have the truth?

What Gives you Peace of Mind Now?

The one thing that gives me peace of mind is the thought that I can give my family a lifestyle that is normal. With lots of love. I dont have the WBTS to tell me what I can or can't do. I don't have to worry about what others think. I don't have to worry about wheather God accepts me or not because I know he does. I have the peace of mind now of what is right in Gods eyes and know the diffrence of the eyes of God and the eyes of the GB. I have the peace of mind that life outside JW's there is alot of good people and good friends. Mostly I have the peace of mind that you don't have to be a Witness in order to matter to God, but God loves everyone.

Palmtree. All our hearts are with you. I had a hard life as well but you got me beat by a mile. We all feel your pain and hope now YOU are in control of YOUR life and not by others who will hurt you. You know we all read your post and cried inside. You are such a strong person to come out of that and survive. You are AMAZING! and you should be proud.

Hey Chipper!
You said, "at least you would be in good standing to those who matter to Jehovah." Does that mean, "IN ENGLISH" if we impress our Jehovah Witness friends that this is the only way to matter to Jehovah? If you believe that and have the nerve to write that on this post your an idiot! God loves everyone! God is love. You don't have to be a Jehovah's Witness and do things that other Jehovah's witnesses like to MATTER to God!

Ever had some Witness storm out or turn off a Movie you were watching! Which one?
by Witness 007 ini was watching steve martin "leap of faith" pg rated mind you with some witnesses.
he plays a fake faith healer.
their were a couple swear words, and the brothers asked me to switch it off.. same thing happened with christine applegate movie {pg 13} "don't tell mom the babysiters dead.

I remember watching a magic show on TV and the magician passed through the Great Wall of China. My Witness parents said that was "Demonised." Then I saw on tv, "Magics greatest secrets revealed" It showed how it was done. I ashure you no demons were involed.
