  A Mathematic Perspective on Evolution

  i would like to apologize in advance if any of my information on the biology side of this discussion is incorrect, because unfortunately it is not my strongest scientific subject on account of my being subtly encouraged to view it with distrust.. i've recently debated the of subject of evolution with my father, i made the argument that when viewed over several million years random mutation provides a more than adequate explanation for humans having evolved from a common ancestor with chimpanzees.

  then he got this derisive look on his face a waved his hand saying "evolution's explanation for everything is the amount of time involved.".

  so i decided i would examine this mathematically.

  Saethydd, clearly, your Father is uneducated about evolution. Perhaps it is time he read an actual science book on the subject.

  Time is only 1 factor and can actually be a relatively short duration for some evolutionary changes instead of billions of years. Are you familiar with the crickets who went silent on the Hawaiian Islands of Kauai and Oahu?

  a couple of examples of scriptures hardly ever quoted is 1 tim.

  2:12- "i do not permit a woman to teach, or to exercise authority over a man, but to be in silence".

  or verse 11- "let a woman learn in silence with full submissiveness.".

  Every Country and Land... Except Oman

  so the other day someone asked me what use was it to make the list of countries in which there have been reports.... well... to know that, as far as i can tell, there has never been preaching done in oman.. it has never appeared in any report, and the reports go back to 1926!.

  all other countries and lands have appeared, but not oman.. so there... first useful fact about the watchtower that we can get from 90 years of data..

  Now I'm Convinced There Probably Is No God

  yesterday i made a visit to the museum in my city.

  the top floor is the planetarium, which has a connecting room with a huge dome ceiling where they project lessons and lectures and you have a 360 view of the night sky etc.. this particular lecture explained about our galaxy, and how it's only one of billions in the universe.

  and then we learned about each planet, some of their moons and the sun.

  How do you categorise the Society - Cult or High control religion

  i have often seen many categorise the organisation in different ways.

  some say cult, some say high control religion.

  Cult because they use B.I.T.E. (Behaviour, Information, Thought, Emotion) control methods.
  

  I told my Father a few years ago:

  "Any organization that does not allow you to have anything to do with your family or friends who refuse to join said organization is a cult."

  He didn't like what I said but had no rebuttal.

  after much research and prayer i am returning to being a jehovah's witness i can find nothing that eliminates them from being god's directed people , in the end they will reach the end of there journey despite mistakes and errors just like the israelites entered the promised land , thanks for your input and all the best on your personal journey ☺.

  The reality we must face.

  my dearest dad is 90 years old today.

  we are far away, separated by geography, but never will i allow an organisation that indoctrinated false love separate me from my dear dad.

  i love my dad and we had our differences but never will i allow that organisation take away my love for my dad.. happy bithday dad.

  Old Goat, at 90, you are posting here which says you are still able to do some things even though you are having to rely more on your family. I say well done!

  My Father turns 90 this year too. He cannot post on the Interwebs. He cannot toilet, bathe, dress, or feed himself. He is no longer able to carry on a conversation. I, too, love my Dad even though I do not like some of the things he did that hurt the family when he was zealous in the cult. He is no longer capable of being a zealous witness as his dementia is slowly robbing him of his abilities. One day, he will die because of this disease.

  I was speaking to a colleague of mine yesterday. I told him my Dad has dementia. He said "Well I hope things get better for him." I said "No, he will die from this disease." My colleague said "Don't think like that." I said to him "You don't get better having this disease."

  All that matters now is to be his advocate, be kind to him, and show him love. This is what is important now. Love is very powerful as it transcends the dementia barrier.
  

  THIS is truth... THIS is reality.
