  Mill Hill Disfellowshippings

  a few months ago there was a thread about a couple of elders at the mill hill bethel being disfellowshipped because they disagreed with some wt doctrine (i can't recall exactly what it was) and that several other betheliteswere under 'investigation'.

  i haven't heard anything since, does anyone know anything more about this?.

  Paulapollos - Do you know if the bethelites have been forbidden to talk about what happened? It would explain a lot.

  I heard that it was 2 bethelites disfellowshipped, and a few others from around NE London. Definitely for apostacy. I couldn't find out anymore details than that.

  Yes, the 2010 understanding is a refinement of the current 2008 understanding.

  Feb 2008 the generation is any anointed who see any part of the sign. (open ended, Armageddon could be 2000 years away)

  Feb 2010 the generation is now a composite of two generations of anointed who overlap. (fuzzy closed ending - people can start doing generational arithmetic again)

  It's similar logic to the FDS class being appointed over itself.

  So now 'we believe' the generation that saw the generation that saw 1914 will not pass away.

  Perfect. I'm looking forward to the WT study where I will make that point. I may even add in ideas about a composite generation...

  Something You Hate About The Jehovah's Witness Religion

  one thing that truly bothers me is that the religion forces you to accept an understanding they have expressed.

  they might very well change their view and you simply have to accept the newest view or you are the bad guy!

  the generation understanding has changed so much since its inception, how could any witness possibly be 100% sure that what they're told to believe in is "the truth"??.

  The idea that the only belief that matters is the belief in the F&DSC.

  I mean if they were to bring out noo lite tomorrow that the trinity is true 7 million JWs would have to switch beliefs instantly or risk DF'in.

  when i was 23 i made a list of things to do before i turn 30. then i thought, "what's the rush?

  when the new system gets here i'll be able to do whatever i want.
