Breaking free and closure...
by RaraAvis ini have only been posting on this site for a short time, and haven't completely decided how i feel about it.
i have found it interesting to say the least, and have learned a lot from members such as andersonsinfo and others.
i have felt compassion for many who have posted here, have felt out of the loop by many others who have formed tight "friendships" with each other here, have been shocked by some users, have been inspired by others ... you get the idea... i have had a full spectrum of thoughts more or less.. however.... the one feeling i get the most is it reminds me of divorce, or when you split off from someone who mattered to you and you can't seem to let go.

Great analogy. Now to compare it to how each individual reacts to thier own circumstances determines why they are here. I know that I get a sense of "so I must not be completly nuts" when I read some of the posts. I can only break free when my family breaks free. Like a child of divorced parents there's always something that involuntarily affects your life.

I Just Talked To An Old JW Friend About The Dumbness of The Organization
by minimus inhe came by my work and we talked.
he pretty much became irregular (as a publisher), moved away and recently moved back into the area.
he's now a ms again and he's bemoaning his lot in life and sees a lot of stupidity within the "truth".

I think that some people can only absorb so much at a given time. At least he is sick of it. Frustration will trump laziness sooner than later for most people. He needs a good friend to set/keep him straight. All it takes is a bathroom break with an old watchtower to know that their frauds and full of sh-t. Can you send him a link to this site? A side note, Prince was just on Leno and he fits the JW critria, what a weird f-er.

Worshipping Jehovah without all the rules?
by ptucker8357 inhi again.... i've been searching around for a few days now trying to understand whether or not there are spiritual folks out there who believe some of the fundamental tenents of the witness religion, but don't believe in all the rules that the gb puts forth... many of the folks that i talk to tell me that the only way to salvation is through acceptance of jesus as god.
i do accept jesus as the messiah, as a perfect man that god sent to atone for the sins of adam, but i don't believe he is god.... i believe there is one god, one son and one holy spirit and they are not three persons in one god... i feel weird whenever i go to another service that exalts the trinity, as well as some other basic rituals of their religion.... am i making sense?.

It's all a bunch of stories. Don't base your life on any of it. Live life and find something to laugh about, period. ANY religious thought is a crouch for the fear of death. Just my opinion, dollar value = $0.

My Bad Apostate Ass Scared Them Off!
by AK - Jeff inthis morning - a wonderful sunny spring day - grandmunchkin #3, wifey and i went 'garage sailing'.
we encountered a nice little sale, that happened to be at the house of someone we have come to know from an uptown art business in our little town.. as we snooped, and shared a little polite conversation with the owner, lo and behold - up walk two of my former good friends - marsha and sally, both dyed-in-the-wool witnesses.
marsha is partly my fault - i started the bible study with her husband that ended them up as the religious fanatics they have become.

you said "householder". Do you mean home owner? When I hear a common wt word it's like fingernails on a chalk board.

Our Bible is the "best".............
by Hobo Ken ini've heard this said so many times.
just why do jws think the new world translation is sooooo good?.
is it because they are proud that their religion has the resources to produce a whole new translation?.

...for starting camp fires, leveling table legs, or maybe you could recycle it into a watchtower. Oh wait they already tried that.

Another nut case cult influenced decision! How many Witlesses will look at this and not but 2 & 2 together. I agree, It is the same thing as the no blood "policy, rule, guideline" pick one.

I need to get my family to read this site!
by wtfmidoing ini need to get ideas on how to get my family members to "stumble" on to this site.
i would get tremendous resistance for just recommending it honestly.
there are so many logical wake up stories here.

I need to get ideas on how to get my family members to "stumble" on to this site. I would get tremendous resistance for just recommending it honestly. There are so many logical wake up stories here. I know that it would plant seeds of common sense in even some of the most stubborn people. The definition of stubborn should include a JW under full doctrine belief. About to loose my mind, whoops there it went.
