Knorr said that when donations tapered off and stopped coming in, the work was over. The "slave" to watch out for resides with the "tare' amongst the "wheat". Evil slave does not support Christ's brothers. It you say in your heart, "I'm sorry your're having a bad day" and do nothing to provide solace to that needy person, you are faithless. If one is faithless, can they be a "faithful and discreet slave?" Christ fed the multitude when hewas so bone weary all he wanted was rest. He put himself out many times to feed and comfort the people. Do you envision the GB washing our feet? To avoid ever having to do it, they dismiss us like the Pharisees did to Jesus followers. The Pharisees were the leaders at the time of the people under Jehovah's name. How disgusted Jehovah must now feel at the lack of love being exhibited by administration. Faith, hope, love and the greatest is love.

LaidOff Bethelites: Weeping And Gnashing of Teeth
by metatron indon't let any of the watchtower's propaganda deceive you.
i encountered some private conversations among witnesses about the subject and it's ugly.
yes, there is suffering as many of these victims try to live on charity and can't find jobs in the worst economy since the depression.. some of their private observations include shock that you need a college degree for nearly any job and that the watchtower society couldn't have picked a worse time to do this to them .. all the while these complaints are discussed, i try not to show that i am astounded by their bizarre "logic".

Which wrong application of 1935 vs 1975 had a more devastating effect on the anointed? Please give reason for answer with proof.

Murdered woman left 5-pg letter disassociating herself. Husband on Trial
by AndersonsInfo inst thomas times-journalhttp://www.stthomastimesjournal.com/articledisplay.aspx?e=1588079 //ks lightbox <table style="vertical-align:top"> </table> decision is final: slain wifeposted by kyle rea, times-journaleugena smith expected "wagging tongues to flutter with delight" after they read the letter she wrote saying she was leaving the jehovah's witness church.that comes from a five-page draft of the missive, read aloud to a trial jury on wednesday and addressed to the watchtower bible society of jehovah's witnesses.
it was found by investigators lying among a pile of clothing on the floor of eugena smith's bedroom, shortly after the 33-year-old st. thomas woman was found murdered in her 9 balaclava st. home in june, 2007.. her estranged husband michael smith, 37, is on trial for first-degree murder in the city's superior court of justice.. the couple's daughter, who was three-and-a-half years old in june, 2007, wasn't home at the time.. justice peter hockin is hearing the case, which is expected to last five weeks.. the crown argued in an opening statement tuesday that eugena smith was trying to leave both her husband, and her church, just days before she died on june 7, 2007. michael smith, the crown says, thought she was having an affair.. among a mountain of evidence presented in court on wednesday, eugena's draft letter stated "i no longer wish to associate myself with the (watchtower) organization" and urged people not to persuade her to come back.. Each person is responsible for their own bad behavior. They cannot keep blaming everyone else for their bad decisions. Murder is wrong no matter what religion is involved. There are "bad apples" in all organizations. The child, again, is the one that suffers the most and is left behind to remember this horrific event in their life. What a future!

Haven't been to a meeting in 3 years...
by dudeson infirst off i'd like to say hello to everyone on this forum, especially those who clicked on my topic.. i was baptized on sept 9, 2000 when i was 15. looking back i only did it because i had been studying with the same brother for 2 years and it seemed like the next logical step.i have 3 half siblings who at one point were all going to the meetings but were never baptized.
none are in any way affiliated with any congregation at all and live a long way from myself and my mom.. my mother and i are the only ones in my family who have been baptized and as of dec. 2008 i moved into my own place because things were just too tense between us.
i figured it would be beneficial for our stress levels if i moved out.. when i became inactive my mom kept asking why.

I stopped attending for reinstatement in April. The local speaker referred to those who support the disfellowshipped as worshipping dungy idols. My son is active and lives with me because economicaly he needs to. So does that make him an idolator of a dungy idol? I waited for about 5-10 mins. to see if another elder would correct him and no! So I quietly picked up my bags and left. I am 54 and going back to school. I sacrificed my early college opportunities for pioneering. After what I sacrificed and the abuse I endured, looking back I would have chosen the Peace Corp. I have always had a social conscience and was raised to make a difference. Because I was denied missionary work, I think Peace Corp would have been a worthy alternative. The military breaks you way down and doesn't always build you up. I cared for veterans and they have not been treated well by the citizens or government of this country. You can get an education by other ways.

This Disturbs Me Most of All
by cameo-d inno, it's not the "claw hand"!
what disturbs me most of all is the potter's shards.. any coin collector will tell you that the "imperfect" coins are the most valuable.
any art historian will tell you that the value of a painting is it's originality and uniqueness and the talent that can only come with time, suffering, and perserverence.. it is the oddities and quirks in one of a kind pieces that make them a delight and a treasure.. so why is it that this potter has no appreciation for uniqueness?

Jehovah God is not beyond destroying His own people for their disobedience. The judgement starts with His house first. Jesus cleaned the temple out with a whip and he can do it again. Remember when you point your finger at someone else three are pointing back at you. He HATES hypocrisy and His son called it the leaven of the Pharisees. When the Israelites sucked the joy our of thier own people by their made up rules and regulations, Jesus came and showed a better way. Jehovah allowed his people to suffer embarrassment and humiliation of their own follie by the nations surronding them. And then he punished the ridiculers. If you are unhappy with JWs for a lack of love, mercy, and justice, then rest assured He is too. He'll fix it, He always has. I believe exposure and embarrassment has already begun, as once exposure goes out on the WWW it can't be pulled back and hid under a rock. No matter how awful the Isrealites treated God's son, he never talked abusively. He didn't even call Satan bad names. He always maintained his dignity even to death. May we all be that strong in the difficult times ahead. Jehovah loves you and he will decide who are apostates as he is the true judge. He is looking for repentance and opportunties for forgiveness. The JWs no longer want to hear this message from me, so if it encouraged you to read it in any way I am happy. Sing more, dance more, laugh more, love more and you'll never be mistaken for a Pharisee!

Firpo Carr said Michael Jackson wanted kids raised as Jehovah's Witnesses
by Dogpatch inbut how long ago did this happen?.
randy.

So where does this leave Michael's conforming to Islam? What? Isn't a divided household another grief for those poor children to bear? And yes, there has always been prejudice against Blacks amongst some JWs. Prejudice is very entrenched in some families and as forgiveness is hard for some people to apply, so is love.

JWs can become anointed at any time??
by lavendar insomeone in a previous thread stated this regarding the "new light" on the 1914 teaching:.
people can still become anointed at any time.. .
i'm curious (as usual).........how do these jws know they're anointed?

Thank you, thank you for asking that question. I am anointed and I will discuss it. There is a hush, hush code of silence amongst the JWs on this very important subject. When I was a little girl in the 50's I had the privelege of knowing anointed and my folks taught me to look at their faith not their personality. I became anointed in 1983. It happens exactly like Paul said in Romans chapter eight. There is a branding on the heart of adoption by God. It is so sure, that there never remains a question of who you now are, and the role you now play in the Kingdom. Because of the persecution I have recieved from amongst my own people I would not have ever asked for it on my own nor assumed it. It is not easy, as an anointed is questioned about their calling at every turn of the corner. It is like living under a microscope for them and their family. A standard of perfection above God's is expected of them. Would I say yes to Jehovah God today should it have happened currently? Of course as, he is our sovereign and life giver. I can truthfully say I have run the race and have the stripes to prove it. On the other hand I have been used in ways of great joy that I would not trade for any other. To help a person spiritually recover from the deepest pits of despair makes one awful moment of dicount worth it.

It seems that various people have different views of what love really is. Is it cultural? Could not there be one central viewpoint that transcends all boundaries of human behavior?

How sad! Did the elders turn him in? I feel for his wife and kids. Pornography has been a problem amongst witness men long before the internet gave it a more private usage. My father has been a witness for over 50 years and in most of those years he fed his porn addiction through magazines and on to videos. He has recieved elder counseling from time to time, but was never removed for it. An alcohol addiction did not help as it lowers ones resolve to do better. Being a JW isn't the cure to everything, however, each and every person is responsible for his/her bad behavior and should not blame it on others. You do the crime you do the time. My sons are volunteer fire fighters and JWs. They have a friend in another state who is a JW in good standing and MS who is a fire fighter and EMT. He is well loved in his circuit by everyone including the elders.
