Really - camping is ok, but a little too easy.
Now backpacking... where you're at least 12 miles from a vehical and everything you have you brought in on your back... (And the less, the better)
That's interesting.

Nevermind. In hindsight, this crap is not worth a comment. I think expressing the human adventure and experience is simply a lost cause here.

i've heard it said from the platform that "man can't rule himself".. satan challenged god's authority and god left man to rule himself.. unfortunately, god changed the rules and man now dies.
so each generation or two* needs a new ruler with new rules.. it seems that either man dies or god is ruler in the mind of a jw.
this isn't true - mathematically this creates four scenarios:.
It's another case of primitive black and white thinking in a multi-dimentional scenario.
Black and White:
In reality, there are a lot of variables governing the success of man beyond just rulership.
Likewise, there are shades for god's rulership:
Etc.
Voting for 'invisible gods' is like like folding a pair of 2's at a poker table where you are the only player. "But... there might be an invisible player that might have a better hand!"

this is on the official us government site.. note: someone was under the impression this was unconstitutional and it wouldn't pass, however, steven unthank replyed that tax exempt status (re: usc title 26 501 tax exemptions requirements) is not a constitutional right and can indeed be regulated by the us government through the irs.
freedom of religion does no mean freedom from tax.

Personally, I would just prefer it if non-profit entities (all of them) are required to publically disclose what money comes in and what it is spent on.
That alone would be a big step forward in allowing the public to make more informed decisions before giving money to a non-profit - both for businesses as well as charities, etc.

not sex, generally.
Hope
False hope, but hope is powerful.

do you create, or consume?.
an ipad has somewhere around 1 gigaflops of processing power.. apple's ads brag about this.
1 whole gigaflop of processing power!
In the 80's, the game development bubble burst... Nintendo, Sega, Atari... everything fell.
It's all about to happen again - right now. Because there is a new market for sub-par shit - the apple market.
That's it really. (Personally, I work in a niche market, and so I'm isolated...) but shitty apps tell consumers that apps 'suck'... and those consumers give up on apps for a long time. Gabe - of Valve inc, (which is more profitable per employee that Microsoft, google, etc.) commented on it this week... and I share his opinion.
Iphone apps suck. They are way below par compared to any other modern platform. They are the 'walmart' of apps. They teach potential new audiences that software sucks, and they teach new developers to just make shit. Hell, people are stupid enough to buy it. Sadly, one of my good friends who now lives in Hong Kong pressures me daily to drop PC development and join him making shit for iPads. (And I really do mean shit - at $5, it doesn't matter if it doesn't even work as long as the shots look good!)
Apple has created a short-term bubble for it's own short-term gain, and it has throw dedicatedcontent inovators under the bus in favor of short-term shit.
I wrestle with that daily. Should I make shit for stupid people... or something complex and functional? Please - tell me.

Sorry, it's been a few days since I had a drink. Sip.... ah, that's better. So.. what was the issue again?
Ah yes...
The Ipad and android tablets are as poweful as supercomputers from 30 years ago!! How amazing! Want to buy some tech from the 80's? I have an AMIGA in my basement.
How about purchasing my HAM radio for $600!!! It's available in both black and white... with a custom laser-engraving on the back! It's cutting edge!
Nobody needs more than 512 megs of memory!!! Wow - Apple has a new ipad with a couple gigs of memory and a multi-core 64 bit ARM processor?! Multi-core 64-bit is sooo ahead of the times.
Why aren't PC's multi-core and 64-bit like the iPad is? Why, with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, perhaps with a folding design so I wouldn't have to cart around a bunch of loose parts - I'd never need a PC ever again!
Apple is innovative!
- Lime PS: For those that aren't aware, Microsoft proposed the idea of a DRM-laden "store" in the early 2000 era that was highly critized by consumer... pre-emptive monopolistic lawsuits were filed to prevent Microsoft from limiting software from running on it's OS based on digital rights management schemes (pendulum). Apple, on the other hand... did exactly that - and is heartidly embrased by consumers that are restricted by them... DRM, YAY!
my wife and i got a letter sent to me stating we are being called before a judical hearing to discuss allegations of apostasy!
we haven't gone to the meeting in 5 years.
are the jw's on a witchhunt lately?
I believe the correct response is to ship a box of Hot Pockets to the KH with the message "Lol, Please don't wait for us."
(Yes, of course they won't be frozen anymore.)

64 bit will be arriving soon?
Windows XP 64 bit arrived in 2002.
That's windows XP. That's before Vista even!
That..... that's "new tech" from freaking 10 years ago!!!

Unfortunately so. Adobe is more-less the same on both platforms (and Apple is actively trying to chase Adobe off their platforms altogether in favor of their own product lines)..
With a Wacom tablet (the industry standard for media production), it's even less relevant.
It basically comes down to laziness on the school's part to know the few differences.
At the end of the day - the artists I hire all work on PC's, and that is the growing trend.
