HELP REQUEST - Judicial Committee Hearing tonight!

If you are being accused of apostasy the elders will probably want to know above everything else, if you believe in the Faithful & Discreet Slave is the channel that Jehovah God is using and the Society is Jehovah's Organization. If you are not able to affirm that fundamental belief then you will most likely be disfellowshipped for apostasy. It is pretty cut and dry. Really any accusation or evidence or witnesses that you or they may have means is secondary. If you deny the FDS then they will view that as a confession of apostasy and won't bother with any other evidence or witnesses.

Unless you want to use the occasion as a final opportunity to speak your beliefs before being disfellowshipped it will do no good to try to reason with them. You stand less chance as a bapstist preacher reasoning with a JW at the door.

So the question is how much do you value the truth and are you willing to lie to remain in the organization.

During my JC I asked three times who my accusers were and they failed to present them. The third time I was asked to leave the room and they would discuss if they bring forth my accusers, when I returned to the room I was summarily disfellowshipped.

Eh I had a hard time excepting the label even by JW standards when I had been DF'd. Quite literally I had only shared information regarding the UN/NGO issue with one individual in the congregation - and even then only out of misguided concern. (In all fairness my anonymous e-mail was rather forceful - I believe I called the Organization a whore.) Nevertheless, in the year leading up to by DF-ing I had been very active in the congregation trying to love and support members and was also involved in encouraging individuals to come back to meetings - not trying to draw them away.

what made you think you were supposed to drink the wine and eat the bread?

if you left the org, did you still feel like you were going to heaven?.

Did you feel like the elders were making you feel like a whackadoo for partaking, like someone who was a little unstable?

I can't speak for others but when I had the "don't partake" shepherding call I was outright accused of being mentally unstable. (The elders cited a brief stint of depression I had six years previous in regard to a job I was working.) The elders referred to a certain WT article that had said, "we don't judge" but the proceeded to outline the criteria used to judge. In that article mental instability was listed along with things like having a history of drug use.

Sometimes I may use the name "Jehovah" when quoting from the NWT or discussing things with JW's, but quite frankly the "Jehovah God" they worship is very strange and foreign to me. He is certainly not the God of Love that I have come to know. I'm content to address God as "Father" in the pattern set by Christ.

I cannot say for certain who the "man of lawlessness" but I will suggest that he is represententive of the first man of sin, namely Adam/Lucifer, who though being in the image of God and appointed as a ruler, attempted to elevate his throne above that of the Almighty. For that he was cast down to the dirt, even to sheol.

Do you have any kind of data to support the idea that there are more "anointed" men than women? If so please share. I have never heard this.

New article on Bulgaria and Blood Transfusions

Very good material. I was previously unaware that the civil-service change was prompted by the Bulgaria decision.

Does anyone know if responsible parties in the Bulgarian government were ever apprised of the duplicity in the WT's blood transfusion directives?

For what is worth I have to throw my lot in with the posters who believe the 6-Screens site is rather off-putting.

When I first saw the youtube videos where Rick was ranting about the "destructive Jehovah's Witness cult", I thought man this guy seems pretty out there, I hope he doesn't firebomb a Kingdom Hall. I'm not saying he would, but I'm honestly saying that was my first impression. Then it got to the antics of standing outside Kingdom Halls and harassing those attending a memorial and this one dude had a paper bag over his head and he was the "unknown" JW and they recruited some kids from the neighborhood who had absolutely nothing to do with JW's to hold protest signs (they seemed just interested in causing trouble) ... well ... that was my first taste and last taste of 6 screens -- a very bad taste.

My experience is that the Watchtower organization is not a "sexual paradise". Yeah there is sex and some cases of extreme sex but as whole it is rather limited because the Watchtower actively teaches against extra-marital sex and rigourlessly enforces those rules. So I'm going to have to call sensationalism on this one.

Then just as suddenly....you don't know?

When I said, "you just know", I was just repeating the tired JW cliche.

Well I was told and some other things happened and I followed by partaking.

That first memorial we were actually traveling so I was relieved that I wouldn't have to partake in front the congregation. However, ultimately to do so felt shameful - like I was ashamed. So I confided in an elder that I would be partaking that year. I told him I wasn't asking for permission, just letting him know. So I did. I did receive a shepherding call meant to readjust my thinking on the matter. When they were unable to convince me otherwise they left and I began to be persecuted a bit. By the time the next one had rolled around they had nearly disfellowshipped me but in his grace had stalled out things a bit to allow me that final opportunity to partake in my home congregation. That was a good experience.

As for your question regarding did I feel I was going to heaven. The thing was this, I was raised in the JW religion and was a publisher for 30 years. So my whole framework of reference was rooted in JW doctrine. There was difficulty reconciling the two. At first I was a bit hestiant to accept the calling because I figured I wasn't elderly or whatever. Then once I did I couldn't really understand, "why me" and why not any of the other more faithful ones in the hall. I mean at the time they didn't even let me handle the microphones. Yet I read something that Paul had wrote about God choosing the weak and foolish and I just figured I was one of those. As for Heaven, I guess I accepted that while I didn't really have any kind of witness by the spirit either way. I knew that I was to be with the Lord and that was my focus - it wasn't really like a specific place.

now some people have their names involved with makes sense and so forth.
