self delusional fulfillment of end time prophecy. this thread brought a smile to my face, much if not all of the supposed sign(s) of the last days can be at any one time in the history of man. People read into things what they want to see, not always what is really there, or they are told they are wrong (ala wtbts) and kicked if they persist on insisting things aren't what they appear.

English-language congregations in non-English speaking countries
by dgp ini am under the impression that english-language congregations outside of the united states must serve a purpose, other than just being the place where the missionaries can hang out and catch the occasional english speaker.
i think it's also a way to find the smarter guys in other countries and teach them the language and the jargon they will need if they ever climb up the watchtower corporate ladder.. what do people think?.

I attended congregation in foreign non-english speaking country, most attendees were not from a English speaking country, it was definitely a way to unite. the brothers and sisters were more congenial, loving and caring, it was a place where a non-entity like myself was called upon by one of the elders who was courageously trying to learn english to help with his talk and pronunciation. Me of slangly riddled environment that I grew up in was glad to be of help, can u imagine a korean who speaks with a southern accent? wasvery amusing, but he loved god and was among those who truly cared about others as evidenced by his continuing to help whereever needed outside the cong. he and his acqired southern accent was called upon to go to hongkong by his company and i can just imagine the delight that would be caused by his accent.

Lies about Suicides in Congregations
by EXMS inhave you ever noticed what the elders say when a depressed person commits suicide?.
i unfortunately knew of two people in my area, one a guy about my age, the other was in his mid 40's that commited suicide.
both times, at their memorials, the elders from stage said that they were home alone and was cleaning their hand gun/ rifle when it accidently fired and killed them.

EXMS why would u even care how they handle it, they are doing it for the family and not u, had a family member 27 yrs ago, commit suicide, they were depressed, suffering from terminal cancer and weren't even close to being in the right mind, but were very very religiously catholic. who is to say what finally tripped them, it was their decision to do so whether or not they were of sound mind at that particular time. I dont judge them, i just miss them.

they are still pushing the blood issue and filling out the paper work, when visiting those going to have operations they try and make sure that they have the required legal documents to prohibit blood. that seems to be the main issue, not realling caring about the individual, but caring about how mo'sm (WTBTS) agenda is followed when it comes to their blood doctrine (which seems to be constantly in flux).

I have no empathy for them, kick their asses out of our country, there are many people who are trying to come here legally and can't because of the influx of neerdowells from south of the border. Kick them out let them come here legally, it is bullshit that others who desire to come here and have education and experience that would be a big help to this country can't come for years. Others who desire nothing but to visit this country to see family that came here legally can't do the onerous conditions to come.
I blame the illegals too, they know they are coming here illegally, you really think they are going to end up good citizens when they don't have any respect for our laws to begin with.?

in case you were around for the big nisan 14/15 debate, you might know i assert the bible absolutely and thoroughly demonstrates the passover falls on nisan 15 and nisan 14 was the "preparation day".. tonight, at the book study, the daily sacrifice that was to be done twice a day at the temple was mentioned.. prayers were offered at the temple in conjunction with the morning and evening sacrifices.
the evening sacrifice was held at the ninth hour, or about three in the afternoon.
