Do COs have a cushy life?
by A question indo cos (and dos) have a cushy life in comparison with other jws, or others in fulltime service?.
it could be said that they do, since they have an apartment provided for them, meals out, green handshakes, and invites to social gatherings.
it could also be said that they do not, since they may have to live in a different house every week, accept whatever food they're given, and they have a lot more meetings than the average jw.. .

Yeah Piss on the Memorial it's nothing just about rejecting the emblems, what the hell is that suppose to mean anyway. I won't go got my invitation and told them no thanks, i won't be going. And as for the supposed love in the cngregation it's just a bunch of lip service.

An Elder's honest opinion...saw this on another site...thoughts?
by MsGrowingGirl20 inby "shadow elder".
before i express my opinion to the readers and contributors to this website (www.ex-jw.com), i would like to explain who i am and to present my bona fides as someone qualified to comment on this website and jehovah's witnesses in general.. first of all, i am an active jehovah's witness living just outside of new york city.
being a large metropolis, new york has many kingdom halls located within the city and several more in surrounding boroughs, counties, and suburbs.

In away, being a life long adherent of the Wt, is like a life long education in mythology and the ever changing mind of the gods of the Wt cult. How anyone could actually believe they are "in the truth" when that truth changes at the whims of the Gb is beyond me. How i fell for that claptrap makes me mad at myself too. However we all have opinions and we should feel and be free to express whether or not we agree with what someone else's opinions are. I agree his mind is waking up and sooner (hopefully) he will realize he is in between a rock and a hard place the rock of go along or get punished of the GB or the hard place of getting free of the tyranny of the Gb. Hopefully he will become more fully awakened and leave that cesspool of a cult.

What has or would motivate you to attend an Ex-JW meet up...
by Tuesday ini just wanted to get a general consensus of what are the motivations to attend an ex-jw meet up.
if you've already attended one before, what motivated you the first time or each successive time?
if you've never attended an ex-jw meet up before what do you think could motivate you to attend one?.

rules about kids going door to door alone?
by popcorn_eater inmy stepdaughter, who just turned 12, was telling me about her most recent door to door experience and how excited she was to get her first return visit.
i was pretending to be happy for her and not horrified, and listening to the story.
but then she said that the other person with her at the door was her 13 year old friend, also a girl.. i know the org doesn't seem to care much about children and their welfare, but is this normal?

I don't know why anyone is suprised about children going door to door alone, after all, the WTBTS isn't even concerned with paedophiles in the congregaion they don't alert parents or children about it. They are out to protect the molesters. Sending children out alone just goes hand in hand with their concern or rather lack of concern for children, unless it's their own of course.

Most people who carry a chl are very responsible, but you never know when or if you will need a gun, a couple of years ago here, people were shot a book store for crist sakes. so no you never know when one will be needed. you don't have to travel into dangerous territority to be in danger i mean hell at a local book store and people getting shot. Like i said earlier when carrying i carry two, but hope to never have to use them. Hell don't dubs supposedly carry a sword (bible).
