When we had our last baby the head honcho elder stopped by wouldn't come in house and gave us a surprise when he told us to "not" let anyone in to see the baby or go to the hall weeks and to stay away from the hall at least that long too. We were shocked but definitely didn't go for almost two months. Best advice we ever got from witnesses.

Was called back room once because had told a brother that 2Tim. 3:16 was referring to a bible guess he got incensed told the head Luke that I didn't believe in the Bible. When told why they wanted to talk with me I told the head pike and two other elder idiots that Paul didn't use the Bbke because the bible didn't get put together for hundreds of years after that then told them "how stupid can you get?" They were speechless and I just walked out of there told the wife what they wanted and to my surprise, she agreed they are stupid. -

Remember wife and I were going to attend an international forget which country, but got the package price, then we went on line and found the same flight and accommodations much cheaper, that was one thing that cracked open her eyes a little. -

The congregations inflate their numbers, years ago at the reject Jesus memorial, I was responsible for the the attendance. Including those via phone. Well turned upun the numbers to the elder going to make the final prayer and he mentioned the attendance higher than what we had by almost a 10% increase in the attendance, liars and manipulators. -

Getting ready to visit the San Diego area......Any suggestions?

we are driving from indianapolis to san diego next week so that they can ship his car from the west coast and save about a thousand dollars versus shipping it from here.
i am only going to be there for a few days, thursday through sunday and would like some suggestions of what to do while i'm there.

San Diego Zoo one if if not the best in the world, Sea World, La Jolla for reasons already given. The Landing in Coronado, and in town a bevy of restaurants and places to visit and see. The drive out, which route are you taking? You could plan a trip to the Grand Canyon, however you go be safe and enjoy yourselves. -

he does his hellos very discreetly not makeing a scene.
well the elders have noticed him saying hello to people at hall so they invited him in back room.

Do you find it hard to be around active JW's now?
by EdenOne ini do - actually, it's become close to unbearable.. and herein lies the paradox: i tried to fade in the illusion that i might keep contact with family and friends still "in".
was it worth it?
because not only most of them shun me anyways, but i find it almost unbearable to be around them, especially when the cult chit chat kicks in: every cute animal video clip triggers endless comments about glimpses of the future paradise and how "god did it"; those greasy praises to the organization and the governing body; the dumb awe about every jw broadcast and those cheesy music videos; the endless drivel against other religions when one knows perfectly well that we're no better than them; the endless flow of "experiences" of field service or spectacular conversions into "the truth"; the relentless congregation gossip; and so on .... i ask myself: is this why i am fading for ...?

In away, it was refreshing to find out that those supposed good friends disappeared when you held a different view point. It took my wife's death to really open my eyes to the fact that these so called friends were really conditional, finding that out as I had suspected prior too was the real eye opener. Glad I am gone from them, they deserve nothing, neither consideration as human, or those I would help in an emergency. I wouldn't help any of them, I have helped many families in foreign lands but never would I extend any relief or help to witness families. To me they can rely on the governors bodice for help as far as I am concerned. In fact, found an individual, 80+ miles from a convention center so when I stopped to render assistance and Learned that they were jdubs, I just told them to suck it up and left them.
