Wow! LOOK AT Barber's White Shirt Ghost Reflection on both Table Tops!

If you look at the table top the reflection of Barber's white shirt and tie is still there, but the poor guy has been photoshoped out and replaced with another GB member.

Definitely a photoshop. They may have had many shots of the same sitting for the picture and chose one for the 2006 and another to photoshop for 2008.

i've been thinking about getting rid of these books for a long time.

i have bound volumes starting with 1950s up through the early 2000's (not complete, but probably about 35-40 volumes).

i also have about 50-70+ books, including some from the 1950's (let god be true & others).

Yes, you can find them on http://www.archive.org/ or Google Books.

They have several editions of them, printings from different years.

i was very disgusted with the wt study for today.. towards the end of the article it refers to matthew 15 (see quoted scripture below).

this is a beautiful passage where jesus says his followers need to be hospitable, care for sick, hungry and imprisoned brothers.. they turn it around and say that for jw's this means they need to support the "faithful and discreet slave" by going in door-to-door witnessing, making monetary contributions to support the worldwide witnessing work, and following the directions and counsel of congregation elders.. and the worst part of it all is that there were several commenters giving almost word for word answers to that effect, they didn't even seem to listen to previous comments, they just repeated mindlessly what the paragraph said... i was ready to burst.

mom knew i was about to have a fit right there and then.

They turn it around and say that for JW's this means they need to support the "faithful and discreet slave" by going in door-to-door witnessing, making monetary contributions to support the worldwide witnessing work, and following the directions and counsel of congregation elders.

And the worst part of it all is that there were several commenters giving almost word for word answers to that effect, they didn't even seem to listen to previous comments, they just repeated mindlessly what the paragraph said... I was ready to burst. Mom knew I was about to have a fit right there and then. But I held it together long enough to exit to the bathroom and almost threw up. I feel like a hypocrite listening and not saying "Didn't anyone listen to the verses in that Scripture? It's about helping the lowly ones not the Watch Tower Society!

Where was the Spirit of the Scripture in taking care of the lowly one, feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, caring for the sick. What brazen hypocrisy to change the meaning of this Scripture to making sure more mindless followers are found in service, and making sure too that the Society's coffers are full. Oh and don't forget to follow the elders whims even if they're imperfect men... because... because... They are "appointed by holy spirit"!

I can't stand it any longer! I really can't. But if I voice anything like this I'm out on my rear, and with only a part-time job for the foreseeable future I just don't know how to go on. I really don't. I feel like a hypocrite just being there and can't say anything. I just feel like crying.

But why choose a place holder graphic that exactly illustrates what's being discussed in that paragraph.

Shining brightly as the Sun, and they put a WT circular logo radiating like it was a Sun.

They do this on purpose or what? I tend to think so. They don't tend to do many things on accident in those WTs.

But since when doesn't the WT consider every single detail before publication?

If they used a radiant logo place holder where the article talks about shining as brightly as the Sun you have to figure that they did this on purpose.

Not much get by, everything is scrutinized and double checked.

Maybe the reason was to get our panties all in a huff, but to me they did this on purpose. No accident here. Besides

there doesn't appear to be a logo like that anywhere else in the magazine, nor in the other PDF issues so far that I can see.

I call foul, but on purpose, they've done it with full knowledge that it would be talked about, maybe they even discussed it before making it available.

I wouldn't put it past the WTS.

i mean, i can only imagine that's what i am.

i read a post here on my phone, and wish could remember who it was, to give credit, but i can not.

it was about the slow fade or some such, and the merits to just getting out, or doing it slowly.

Cancel your Facebook page for a while.

Then go back and re-log in, all your stuff will be up as if you never canceled your account.

Just take a break from it all, and maybe go back to fading quietly. People have other things

to do and if they can't access your facebook account to look then they might just leave you

alone about it. Otherwise they may print out the photos or something.

Do you think the reason they print an article about accepting changes and remaining meek

is that only meek and humble people are the one's they want, and sift out anyone else,

the meek are the ones they can control easily.

If you were in the KH and studying this WT... Would it finally send you over the cliff and

make you want to get out quick from the high control Society which insist you be meek

and accept their changes, and their further changes, and their other changes on top of

that.

How many changes would it take for a person to finally say I'm done with the crazy changes.

Hebrew speaking Jews / Messianic Jews

while i was trying to get some answers yesterday about hebrew translations, i emailed from a jewish website in which they had some hebrew writings and the torah on there.

i was asking if a hebrew translation to english was done correctly, it was a scripture with the word hell, and he said it was done correctly, except that the word wasn't hell but pit, grave, etc, that those scriptures never teach of a hell, it was apostasized and jews know those scriptures to mean plain old death.

see, so more then just jw's know hell isn't real or taught in the bible.

Oh, my. Larsinger58 you sound pretty strange and it would be good for you not to be accusing Jews of having some hidden agenda.

Most Jews I know are either very secular or very religious and have respect for God and the Torah. You're insulting them when you say things like that.

Besides a lot of what you post sounds to me like you've been taking LSD before writing it.
