Is ANYONE Listening???!!

when i was still in the cult i reckon i spent 90% of the meetings/assemblys mentaly asleep.

at one time i did try to concentrate on the talks, but just kept drifting away.

i even perfected the art of looking intently at the speaker while mentaly thinking up to-do lists, shopping lists and composing emails.. is it just me or not?

How true! But I'm even practicing sleeping through the meeting with my eyes open.

It worked during the convention on most talks. Only to be woken up by the clapping.

Ending the Disfellowshipping Arrangement?

i was reading this on the forum for bible students where there seems to be some elder training that will focus on conscience issues and disassociaiton instead of disfellowshipping.

this makes sense from a legal standpoint because there would be no jc but interesting enough, how would someone become disassociated and then shunned?

if shunned would this then place the legality of it all back onto the family members instead of the elders?

and the mods give a reprieve to people... do they expect some repentance

There's a lot of people gone. I miss Bonafide on JWN too for example!

I shall seek to annihilate all the nations that are coming against Jerusalem.—Zech. 12:9.

Why does Jehovah “seek to annihilate all the nations”? Because they persistently oppose the Messianic Kingdom. For harassing and persecuting God’s people, they stand condemned. Soon Satan’s earthly agents will undertake a final attack on God’s true worshippers, which will lead to the world situation described in the Bible as Har–Magedon. (Rev. 16:13-16) Responding to that assault, the Supreme Judge will defend his servants and sanctify his name among the nations. (Ezek. 38:14-18, 22, 23) Satan has no weapon that can weaken the faith or quench the zeal of God’s people worldwide. Our spiritual peace, which results from Jehovah’s saving power, is “the hereditary possession of the servants of Jehovah.” (Isa. 54:17) No one can forcibly deprive us of our peace and spiritual prosperity.—Ps. 118:6. w07 12/15 3:15, 16

How many of you knew about the"Jesus is not your Mediator" teaching when you were JWs??

hi everyone.... just curious how many of you knew when you were active, about the societys official teaching regarding jesus the mediator.

i was floored to find in my research, that they teach jesus is the mediator for the 144,000 only.

and it is only by our association with them that we might have salvation.. i don't know about you guys but i was blown away when i learned they taught this.
