  Oh Mother...

  i get a phone call at work today.

  i am very stressed, my boss has left, thus i am in charge.

  i had little to no sleep and was very cranky that i was left to blow up 200 balloons by myself.. on the phone is my mother.

  why do we treat our family members the way we do? We take all kinds of crap from co-workers, friends, schoolmates, teachers, whatever. But the slightest provcation we lay into a family member...

  'cause they know just which of our buttons to push. for the record, i think you're right and your mom is well, not wrong but she should listen to you, her baby. my baby can do no wrong, as far as i'm concerned :) and i certainly wouldn't allow my child to be all unhappy over a couple of cats, that's for sure...

  it does seem lke a minor thing, but it certainly bothers you. and it's something that wasn't resolved, so it's going to prick you a little bit until you attempt to make your feelings heard...

  i wouldn't leave her a note. i would talk to her in person and tell her in an honest, unemotional way how you feel. after that if she still wants to hold onto her anger for whatever reason, it's on her, not you. at least you will have tried. some people you simply can't reason with. and rather than let it fill you with angst, the best thing to do is let go of that person emotionally, otherwise they will stil have some control over you, and that's not good... i hope that helps. (stupid cats, it's all their fault, lol)

  i say and feel the same thing a LOT. people don't understand - they think that means you are suicidal. it's the farthest thing from it! every time i see those shots from the hubble, those star nurseries, i want to be there, floating not just as a spectator but being iside all that starstuff, becoming it... and i think that happens when you die, you are finally free from your earthly bonds... i think this when i hear "the reaper" by blue oyster cult. to me, it's a happy song...

  oh tex, that is unimaginably touching... especially that little wandering smiley...

  (my single wish would be that jehovah's witnesses had never knocked on our door that fateful day. i can just imagine how comepletely different my life would have been)
