i was very sweet to all the nice brothers. that's one good thing (hmm, i found a good thing?)... the jw boys were always very respectful and sweet to me... i never felt they looked at me as a sex object. i sometimes wonder what it would be like to go back now, being the new person i am...i wonder if i would run into anyone i had a crush on back then...it's almost as if you visited another planet, or something. i'd prolly feel like a stranger in a strange land...

Having an affair acceptable in your religion?
by antimarriagewrecker inthis woman, clarise, who lives in hayward, california is a strong beliver of jehovahs witness.
because she needs to go door to door to spread words of your religion, she only works 3 days a week.
that is fine.

After I called her and told her not to respect my husband's wish, she said she can do whatever she wants to do and it's none of my business
ok, she sounds crazy. and very un-jw-like. she obviously has the hots for your husband. if it were me, i would go to my husband's workplace, then sneak over to her desk and leave the stack of emails and call history on her desk, telling her "if you don't stop immediately, i'm going to deliver another set of documents just like this to your kingdom hall, beyatch".

How does God communicate with us?
by JH inin the past, god spoke to humans through angels, prophets, and jesus.
today, there are no prophets, angels don't show up anymore, and jesus isn't there to speak to us.. we can talk to god through prayer, but how does god talk to us?.
so, other than the bible which is pretty outdated, how can god communicate with humans?

If you "want" the Father to communicate with you, you may have it so if you come to him and ask it of him. He will send forth his Son who will open your ears that you may hear the voice of One calling to you, and anything you should ask of him he will tell you. Everything that the Father tells you by means of his Son will be things that are for your true benefit. If you desire it so, he will give you discipline and instruction that you may be able to "hear better" and understand more. The more you understand, the more you grow.. and the stronger your spirit will become. He has offered this 'gift' .. and others.. to all mankind since the days of Adam up to now. If you desire this 'gift'.. and others.. you may have them by asking and going to the One to whom the Father has given all authority in heaven and on earth, his Son. call out to him and he will answer you.
really? who knew it was that easy?

This is for ones not born in the truth
by vitty inhow long did it take for you to revert back to your old ways of thinking, reasoning and attitudes from before you were a witnes .
eg i lived with my husband before we got married, then learned it was wrong.
now i see so many witness getting married too young (cos they want sex) that i dont think its such a bad idea.

im not sure, 'cause i was young when we went in and young when i came out... but when i began my unfolding, it was a slow process...and some things made me feel guilty, especially speaking out against the org. not now, however. i have zero guilt where they are concerned...

Argument from an elder on why to not leave the JWs...
by undercover ini got an interesting reply from an elder friend when i admitted that i had issues with the wts.
i had listed the failed predictions, the changing doctrines and the mistakes made by the wts.. he came back with the examples of the israelites in the wilderness and under the various kings.
the nation of israel was still god's people despite their hardheadedness and sins.

it's useless, in my view, tyring to argue with any jw's about anything...

are you sure she's a witness? she may have used that as a ruse to initiate contact with your husband. in any case, i would definitley get in touch with her kingdom hall and tell them what she is doing. but the best thing to do is talk to your husband and ask him why he permits this excahnge -- he's not a child, after all.
