Jarka trial: Murrieta resident guilty of first-degree murder Kelle Lee Jarka, 41, faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. By Staff, SWRNN Monday, September 14, 2009 no comments | be the first to comment! Kelle Lee Jarka After deliberating over portions of two days, a jury has convicted a Murrieta man of murdering his wife and ruled the slaying was done for financial gain. Kelle Lee Jarka, 41, faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. Jarka could be seen shaking his head after the verdict was read. Jurors began deliberations Friday afternoon and returned this morning at 9 a.m. According to court records, the panel deliberated just over two hours before informing the court that it had reached a decision. The decision was announced in a courtroom packed with family members, officials from law enforcement and community members. Jarka was convicted of first-degree-murder for the bludgeoning death of Isabelle Jarka in April 2008. Prosecutor Burke Strunsky’s told jurors in his closing statement that Kelle Jarka was so determined to maintain his image and cushy middle-class lifestyle that he ambushed his sleeping wife crushing her skull in the confines of their bedroom. He argued that Jarka tried to make it appear as though his wife was killed by an intruder, going as far as staging a burglary. In her closing argument, defense attorney Erin Kirkpatrick told jurors that Murrieta Police rushed to judgment and targeted Jarka from the start. Kirkpatrick said there is no direct evidence linking Jarka to his wife’s death. Lady Lee I think your a wonderful women with great insight.
I haven't really shared my story here yet. But I just want to thank you for your hard work to help victims of abuse.
My child is a victim of molestation and we are a couple of years into trying to heal, but it's a struggle everyday.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Interesting how the elder got on the stand saying the victim wasn't angry. Yeah right!
I was looking at the open access public records for this case and seen that a reporter from 20/20 asked for permission to cover the trial.
That would be a nightmare for the WTS. Here you have an elder who is accused of murdering his wife a few hours after another elder comes to their home in the middle of the night because the wife is upset her husband has been spending a lot of time with a recent widow in the congregation who's husband died of AIDS. The elder tries to use the clergy petenant rule in order not to testify and when that fails he testifies as a hostile witness.
Then we have the computer searches from the accused about "deadly poisons for humans""effects of cyanide on humans""can you suffocate from a trash bag" not to mention "sex with HIV"
Sucks that the poor family and children of the victim has to go through all of this mess. If he was a decent human he would just have plead guilty. Because he sure looks like he is.

Thanks Purple,
I have a preteen and these suggestions will really come in handy.
We are newly inactive and it's a whole new world to her..many of her friends no longer call her or invite her anywhere now that we are not at the meetings
She has her school fiends but they knew she would never accept their invitations when we were active JW's so they remain only at school friends. Times are really confusing to all of us right now but I know how important it is for young girls to have friends.
Thanks again,
Truth

Phase One: Facing Our Abuser...
by cognac ini think an important part of facing my parents is first writing a letter to my brother - who got it the worst.
then, i will talk with him and see if he would like to do this with me.
but, first and foremost, he has to know how i feel.
