it was 113 in los angeles today.. 107 where i live.. 106 in santa monica which is always the coolest city in the l.a. area.. power outages, fires........all we need is an earthquake.. jdw .

Hi Lil.lady,
I agree with think about it.
It's easier to just not talk when your upset, it could get you in all kinds of trouble.
For the first few months after everything hit me like a ton of bricks I actually had to go to the doctor and get some anti-anxiety medication because I was feeling a lot like you are now. It helped take the edge off and I was able to deal with things a little easier.
I'm sorry your going through this right now Just know..it gets better, with time.

Has anyone successfully faded without moving out of the territory?

so far i've managed to avoid speaking to the elders who drop by.

just wondering if they'll eventually give up in a couple years.

So far so good. It's been over a year and a half and the elders out on service don't even bother coming to the door, they send the new ones who don't know us
It's funny we use to hide out when we seen them coming by turning the TV off and making sure we were quite, now we don't even care. The dogs are barking, kids got the music blaring and we're cooking breakfast without missing a beat. Once you stop giving them any power over you, you breath much easier.

And it's very much appreciated LL.
Many of us that are somewhat new to the nightmare of our child being molested have really benefited from you experience and your education. I have taken a lot of advice from things you have shared, including encouraging my daughter to never be ashamed of what happened to her. Proudly, I'm seeing her show that in her life. She was able to comfort a friend in school who shared with her that a grandfather was touching her. My daughter didn't hesitate to tell her and a small group of friends what happened to her and how it's so important to tell an adult so that it wont happen to anyone else. I was so happy to see she isn't hiding what happened, nor was she the least bit ashamed to tell her close friends

i received an anonymous email over at ex-jw.com that had an attached legal filing.

the first couple of pages seemed to be standard legal filings, but the rest of the pages looked like standard typed documentation (not in numbered double-spaced legal format.

) i'm not quite sure what to make of it, so wonder if anyone here has heard of it.

in my case it was my best freind in the cong who decided to encourage me to answer up at the wt by... refusing to talk to me afterwards if i hadn't answered up!

Wait on Jehovah he'll make sure all those elders who treated to so unloving after your daughter was molested are taken care of eventually. Then look forward to the new system where you wont remember what happened.

madjw thinks the wts' policy is sufficient to deal wtih cases of sexual abuse of children.

I'm very angry for that attack on your character LL. I feel just sick that people have to try and hurt another personally just to try to get them to shut up about this subject. I know it's something they wish we wouldn't talk about, but to go to the lengthens they do to try to keep you quite..it makes you wonder what they have to hide or what makes them feel less then when you or others bring it up? It has to be something.
