I think it would put an end to the limited contact I have with a few JW family members. All the other JWs pretty much have shunned us already.

American Rantings About World Cup Soccer (Football)

i try ... i really try to watch football (soccer) ... it's world cup time ... i really do try.. i just don't get it ... i really don't.. yes, it's a world-wide sport.

in most countries it is the number 1 or number 2 sport ... no doubt about it.

it's maybe number 5 in the usa for professional sports.. from an american's perspective (i think i speak for many), we just wonder if these guys actually have testicles.

The WT Society taking child abuse more seriously now?

with the constant reports of child sex abuse in the congregation from members who now will not be silent, i wonder if the wt will continue to change their policy in this matter.

they have made some adjustments compared to a decade ago.. .

i didn't even know about the case below.

I agree with BackseatDevil. These men have ZERO training and because of this they further harm victims.

before i dive into the actual write-up of this experience, let me put some things straight.. i have thought long and hard if i should write more about my experiences during the 10+ years at different branches.

during these years i worked from financial department, service department, home office and different it assignments.

as you can imagine one sees and hears and reads a lot of stuff going through different stations in different countries.

I have spent many nights feeling horrible about allowing my child to be questioned by the elders after her molestation. Many people have come down hard on my husband and myself for not standing up and marching them out of our home, we wish we would have.

It's extremely difficult to do the right thing when your thoughts are controlled. We failed our child in that moment, but never again! We have since learned to do better.

We can't all be hero's right on cue, but it's what we do after we know, that's important. I hope that makes sense, I'm not really good with expressing myself through writing.

Anyways, thank you for speaking up.
