Mental Disorders among JW's
by Blackfalcon98 inhi everyone, im begining to notice patterns of mental issues in the congregations and among the witnesses as a group.
do you think this is a trend in the entire world or is it exagerated in this organization?.

So now I die and my wife remarries and I can get resurrected and go live with her and her new hubby and at night when all is quiet I can listen to them having sex in the next room. When the new scrolls are opened, will I be allowed a wank from time to time? Thought not. Perhaps I can go to the shore and find a resurrected pirate and explain to him how he needs to shave off his beard.
Or I die and my wife can have another thirty years or so giving up the opportunity to remarry in the guilt-ridden hope we can be reunited in the new system.
Gotta love the WT writers and their thoughtless drivel which has millons hanging on every word ...

I went to a funeral about 15 years ago at the city crematorium given by a doddery jw elder who stuck to the outline.
The woman was a widow who had never been a jw but her only daughter was and she wanted a jw funeral for her mother. The crematorium had seats for about 100 people and there were about 50 there including about 25 from the congregation and some "worldly" neighbours and friends of the deceased. I sat towards the back and there were two old women who were a bit deaf sat across the aisle from me.
One of them says to the other in a loud enough voice for me to hear across the aisle "It's a good job she (the deceased) can't hear what he's saying! She'd be out that box and give him (the speaker) what for!"

Would YOU Have Refused Blood To Remain Faithful To Your JW Beliefs?
by minimus ini believe that most witnesses would refuse blood to show their faithfulness to jehovah's law on blood transfusions....( that sounds silly, huh?).

I did. I was 19 and legally an adult in the UK. I had the operation and (obviously) survived.

Times have changed round here - when I go to a jw funeral we get a reasonable eulogy most times. Maybe a bit about what Billy Stiff'n'dead "believed" but not much.

Terminology the Society Hates?
by toweragent inin my most recent talk, i got counseled for using some terms that were not prefered.
for example i said "new testament" rather than "the christian greek scriptures".
i also used the term "gospel", but even worse, i made reference to the "synoptic gospels" and the "gnostic gospel".. i guess i never thought of it before, but when i looked at the societies information on the matter they always say things like, "the so-called new testament..." or "the so-called synoptic gospels..." why with all the "so-called?".
