  Conversation with ultra dub relative. Pure quality this one

  if any one has been taking note of my posts, it could be said that i often mention conversations i have had with dubbies.

  in some ways not been dfed has allowed me to gain some real in sight into how they think and their justification for things.

  the following is a conversation i just had with an ultra super dub relative, and to be honest i don't know weather i should be laughing or crying over it.. relative: the rc this year is going to be held in the assembly hall.

  dear friends, your posts are very good, but we really think that they will change many things soon...for example.

  watch tower now are feminist and they protect the gay cause.soon we will have many gay marriages in kingdom halls.you will see.that governing body is really cool.ted jaracz and john barr were the last puritans in the governing body!.

  the current governing body is completely liberal, but as yet has some bethelites the old guard working, they are still holding some behaviors .... but very soon you will see ... even in my congregation is very liberal ... not here disassociates for immorality .. just for apostasy ... i fucked three sister, but the elders did not shunned me, but they only help me!

  1993 AWAKE on Child Abuse

  10/8/93 awake article about child abuse misconceptions, checkout the second misconception: children fantasize or lie about abuse.. this article notes how it's extremely unlikely that children lie in cases of abuse (95% in some estimates are truthful) and how even among the ones who lie it's usually when they make a claim (in truth) but then subsequently lie and say it didn't happen, when in actuality, it did.. given this knowledge, why the two witness rule?

  For balance I believe they tell the truth in the vast majority of cases.

  However I can think of at least two cases I knew of where the child had been put up to the lies (one by by a jw mother trying to get a divorce on "scriptural" terms and another non jw divorce case where the mother tried to threaten this to get a better financial settlement.)
  

  Before I get an onslaught I firmly believe that the vast majority of cases are true and that whatever they should always be put to the authorities (social services/police/medical professionals) for handling.

  I wanted to laugh; brilliant work! - this cartoon is exactly how jw'ism is. Fortunately "Brother Kent" no longer goes in the ministry because he is (you choose) waiting for paradise by way of:

  being confined to home as a "shut-in".

  being in Jah-Jireh nursing home provided by brothers and sisters in England who ran ahead of the great organizational chariot.

  "a resurrection".

  Profoundly sad really - just as sad as a little boy being dragged around from door to door.

  i noticed that anthony morris iii just said on the broadcast: "while we cannot control everything that an individual might say, it is clear that over the decades protecting children from abuse is a top priority for this organization.".

  @Naoscillator - I agree 110%

  In my experience in the UK when I was an elder legal (and service dept of course) never wanted elders to contact the authorities or warn parents. I know I did both on the quiet and I know one or two others in the circuit at least warned parents too.

  "Don't bring reproach" was finally replaced with a grudging "you can't stop anyone going to the authorities" (After the BBC 2002 Panorama programme) - but the whole ethos was to cover up.

  I saw ToMo3's "clever broadcast" and his "clever theocratic warfare" and sadly know it will work on most jw's. Sad, so very sad.

  so i went out today with my broken leg and got accosted by an old lady, with some magazines.. it was my first ever encounter with a jw in ten years, and i had said 'i know you are jw's, i'm not interested thank you.

  " twice.....then she started talking about my broken leg and how wonderful we are made and how amazing the healing process is.... and that's when it all started...."i used to be a bethelite pioneer, now i'm an atheist doctor...".

  she was with me a good 30 mins, her elder husband left very annoyed but she stayed, and she was dying to hear everything i spurted out, despite aggressively defending every point, from military engines to paedophilia.

  Nice job. Keep doing this. If she doesn't wake up she will be more depressed and that while not nice for her it will have a dampening effect on those witnesses around her.

  On The Art Of Fading

  in october of 2000, i faded away from the watchtower.

  like most people, i have family and friends who are jw's (including my wife and parents).

  fading is generally the best method for people in that situation.
