LURKING JW: Thinking of leaving? Learn from my experience.
by SnakesInTheTower in"mental wondering in the wilderness"... uh oh.... it's a long post from snakes.... lol.
yep... i think that is the best way to describe where i am at in life right now.
if you have read my past posts (mostly in the private section) you know some of my history as a life-long (now former) witness.. i have been away from the jw religion, for all intents and purposes, since dec. 06, though it was not until sept 07 that i stopped attending meetings.

I think there might be a "part two" later as well because Justice Peter McClellan told Apple-shite she had a few weeks to produce any further report - whether it gets to be cross-examined on the stand or not I don't know. -
What's happening in the Australia Branch right now?
by freddo inbranch committee member (hung out to dry by gb) soliloquy: (looks at sheaf of documents in front of him).
hmmm, so i've got to present this pos so that i can stay in my board and lodging and get all the perks of being at the top of the organization in australia and my wife likes being queen bee around bethel and wants to see her mother in the resurrection poor deluded soul (or was she anointed i don't know it changes so often, if you're up there ma-in-law then thank you so very much for not interceding with jah and getting me off the hook) so i daren't say what i truly know to be true.
but i've got to look my brothers and sisters in the eye.

But the GB won't support me damn them why aren't they on the stand like the Apostle Peter would be?
Mind you I know all about the abuse cases in the files so at least my seared conscience won't bother me.
I know I'll be all urbane and polished and smooth talking while ignoring the orphan and the widow, that'll get me through.
Gulp! (Fingers collar) Pass me another whisky love!

Looks like a Branch only document to me ... to be used by the Service/Legal desk when the elders phone them and listen to their faceless anonymous advice.
Can you imagine Brother's Ali or Bello working their way through that?
"Sorry sister abused, we will have to get back to you while we contact the Branch errr I mean prayerfully consider what to do - now just go home to Daddy and be a bit more respectful and ask your mother to be a bit more affectionate to him."

@Viva la Vida
Can that gem of information be passed to the Royal Commission for Mr. Stewart or Mr. McClellan's consideration?

Australia Evidence List is public and contains Elders Book
by Skidmarks inthere is so much information on the website of the hearing.
you can find the full transcripts of each day there as pdf.. but also the evidence list is very interresting.
it contains many confidential letters from congregations but also from the hq to branch offices.. the full list can be seen here: http://www.childabuseroyalcommission.gov.au/exhibits/636f01a5-50db-4b59-a35e-a24ae07fb0ad/case-study-29,-july-2015,-sydney.

Fantastic - read the "Guidelines to Branch Office Service Desks!"
Rated HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL and only to be seen by Branch Committee Members and Service Desk "Deskmen".
So this is stuff CO's and DO's don't get to see. Just brilliant.

I love the guy presiding over the whole thing - he politely cuts right through Jackson's uselessness. He knows the difference between uncleanness and loose conduct better than the ex D.O.! -

Why are none of the 'Governing Body' being summoned to any of the abuse commissions?
by GodZoo ini'm not sure if this has been covered but i'm wondering why none of the gb are being requested at or formally summoned to any of the australian abuse commissions or other investigations that are taking place around the world?
they after all are the ones single handedly responsible for making and enforcing all the rules that are the sole cause of all these abuses and problems.. why are they just keeping their silent distance and leaving all the ill-equipped and sadly incompetent local elders exposed to take the full public blast, criticism and humiliation for all that is now being brought out in these investigations?
how are they seemingly able to sit cosy in their ivory tower immune and unaccountable?.

Wrong country I guess?
