why is there a huge cull going on of all bethels around the world?.
about 80% cull within the next year?.
some have been in bethel for decades and will be sent packing, the 20% of bethelites who stay will have to do their own food, laundry and clean their flat.

when speaking with brothers, i can see they really like the jw.org site more than magazines and books.
i can imagine them publishing more and more articles and news as it's more dynamic and creates a sense of alert with brothers looking for new articles to read instead of the boring monthly magazines.. but when it comes to the jw broadcasting, it's something different.
even elders admit they aren't watching the monthly broadcastings.
Certainly having good results my way. You may recall the uber-pioneer sister sneering at the dancing trolley cart; but get this -
In 2014 the school overseer in our hall "stepped aside/got removed" from being elder. He's quietly continued since as a "brother in good standing" being used to read/pray.
I asked him if he has ever thought about serving as an appointed man again and we got onto the jw broadcast about the overlapping generation explanation and he said:
"Freddo, when you can show me an overlapping generation in the bible without using a made-up flipchart I'll think about serving as an elder again. Until then I'll stay as I am."
I grinned and said "I don't suppose Jesus had one of those on the mount of Olives!".
He smiled ...

What a bunch of crap.
No mention of the long time explanation of the generation that held sway until the Awake masthead change in 1995 - the generation that saw 1914. Just like questions from readers in the past - a question no one asks or cares about or is relevant. Trying to deflect us onto when WTF ... sorry FWF ... was baptised.
Not the real questions that probably kept the US mail in business for a few weeks like "Is this really the best you can come up with? I mean really?"
One elderly sister said to me about a month back "Freddo, did you understand the broadcast about the generation?" I white-lied and portrayed apathy and said "I find the broadcasts discouraging Sister, they all seem to be about money lately."
She said "I know! But you must watch this generation explanation Freddo - it's just one big cop out!"
my middle brother called me a couple of hours ago.
our youngest brother, josh, who was 38, was found by his friends in his apartment.
he hung himself.
hello first of all to those that remember me.
i'm doing well, 10 years since my missionary trip to cameroon.
i've met a couple of goals.
does anyone know if jwtalk is a real jehovah witness forum?.
are the owner bob & an admin jerry in good standing in their congregations?
or just apostates posing as jw's?.
I know it's cringeworthy but if he has a huge following then this will feed the apathy and make it all the more mainstream. It's got to erode the GB's control even if only at the edges.
How big is his forum? Oooh ... err ... perhaps size does matter!
saw this video of a brave woman who gave a da letter and an elder tries to talk with her.
this guy comes across has full of shite, and you know he would be a different person if there were other elders around with him.
kangaroo court jokers is what comes to my mind.
The question to pin him with was "Why didn't the elders go to the authorities if they believed me?" and quoted 1 Peter 2 v 13 - 17.
anyone coming to a hall near you?
or your hall?
or your circuit?

i don't have all the details of their new "service year" numbers, but i have read enough on jwn to state my opinion pretty strongly.. memorial attendance for 2015 was down.while they kept saying they were going to build a bunch of new kingdom halls, and everybody is still in recovery from watchtower taking all the local money away, they say pretty much that there isn't enough money to build new kingdom halls.putting gb members on the videos at jw .
org has allowed people to really put a face and personality to these guys and remove the mystery of how they should be such deeply spiritual serious men.
instead they see silly thoughts about tight pants and, really everything that comes out of lett's mouth is delivered ultra-goofy, along with the money reports.. the gb lost credibility a little more with every new light that shone down, with the strangest one being "overlapping generation.
Now the sacked bethel middle managers and special pioneers are getting out into the congregations they will bring with them a strange mix. On the one hand they were once at the hub of the organization and they may be expecting some deference.
On the other they will be needing the congregations support for accommodation, association, work and ministry. So they need to be nice.
Then a third point comes into play - however it has been dressed up - they have been shafted. They will be fighting resentment towards their branch committee that chose them to be the ones kicked to the kerb.
Their confidence will be diminished. It is going to be an interesting time.
