  i was just thinking about how the wts has been spouting off for years that satan and his demons were cast down to the vicinity of the earth in 1914, but really, when you think about it, what was the difference before 1914 or after 1914?.

  its not like satan and his demons did not have access to the earth.

  satan and his demons always were messing with earth.

  Satan must have got bored with enjoying using war to kill humans after "lobbing the atomic bombs" - apparently 80 million (3.5% of a world population of 2.3 Billion in 1945) were killed from 1914 - 1945 and "only" 20 million (0.29% of a world population of 7.0 Billion) in the 70 plus years since.

  A JW experience

  this is a quick experience i have recently had and i have two questions at the end.. a couple of weeks ago, the dogs were barking at the gate on saturday morning and wouldn't you know it, it was some witnesses.

  there was a father with his lovely wife and their young daughter.

  the father did all the talking as mother and daughter just dutifully smiled and watched.

  In other words you weren't susceptible and vulnerable to the fantasy panda petting with your dead loved ones he was offering.

  i don't have much time for peter hollingworth.

  he has always acted like a pompous prick when i have met him or seen him on tv however he humbled himself and made an apology for his actions and the actions of the church.. any bets on if the gb would ever do this?.

  We abhor child abuse. We abhor the fact that we have been found out in that our policies on handling child abuse have been self serving.

  Most of all we abhor paying out money set aside for the worldwide life saving work (a.k.a our top class lifestyle in our retirement lakeside complex and a few thousand ineffectual trolley carts) to victims of child abuse even more.

  although my thoughts are only proposed for mild amusement and interest and in no way intended to offend, for some, the concept behind the idea may be an affront to preciously held beliefs.

  I would go back in my time machine to a remote spot just inside a cave. It would have enough modern supplies for me to set up camp in the cave for about a week and I would have infra red sensors placed about a 200 metres out to warn me of human/wild animal approach.

  I would take a rifle and handgun for protection.

  I would sit in my time machine and operate a small drone from my cave equipped with microphone, loudspeaker and night vision cameras and scout out the area. The drone would be equipped to drop small gifts where I wished and then the fun would start.

  First off, one evening I would hang an L.E.D lantern below the drone in the market place and watch everyones' amazement as I floated it round above their heads. Then I would drop bags of jelly-babies (character shaped soft jelly-beans) and watch their delight as they tasted such sweet stuff.

  after lurking on this site for a year or so i have noticed a number of new poster's including me.

  but does this indicate a massive departure for the exit?

  Our cong. of 90 "publishers" (in 2014) has an attendance of 60-65 average (boosted by some on a phone connection). Secretary told us last month that we were "83 publishers". So seven have gone somewhere. I'm a bit hazy but this is what I have picked up.

  2014

  1 sister in her 70's dissasociated over doctrine and moved away.

  1 brother in his 50's died

  1 youngster became an unbaptised publisher

  0 baptisms

  2015

  1 sister in her 70's deliberately went inactive

  1 sister in her 60's who "comes and goes" went inactive again

  1 brother in his 60's went inactive

  1 teenager went inactive from being an unbaptised publisher

  1 youngster got baptised

  1 young brother moved in due to work

  2 (a couple) moved out

  In the UK we were told not to initiate mentioning donations from the outset (early 1990's?) of the donation arrangement - this was due to strict charity/tax rules in the UK.

  So this letter is because now we are being fed all things "United States" (as in US English) on broadcasts and OCLAMS we need separate clarification by letter.

  A few years back before JW.Orgasm we had Kingdom Ministrys in British English and the field service report and occasionally other items would reflect the British field.

  i heard from a "friend" that a letter was read aloud during the midweek meeting asking people to volunteer to do cleaning work in bethel.

  lol.

  i really can't think of anything else to say if this is true.. they get more free labor, and they still ask for more more more money!!

  Whitewashed graves.

  One of the only privileges left to the guy or gal that was on the wrong end of a public reproof was hall cleaning at his/her own hall.

  No answering/no microphone handling/no ministry school assignments - but yep you can still clean the bogs with your group after the ministry on a Saturday morning ...

  we all know the watchtower's stance on blood:.

  blood components, plasma, red cells, white cells and platelets-no.

  fractions-your bible trained conscience.

  Me: So what about fractions?

  JW: They're not blood. It's down to your bible-trained conscience.

  Me: Aren't Plasma, Red Cells, White Cells and Platelets simply fractions?

  JW: (Cough) Err, well the Faithful and Discreet Slave says they aren't allowed.

  Me: On what scriptural basis?

  JW: (Cough, Cough) Umm ... well err...

  Me: What happens if I choose to take one of those fractions?

  JW: Umm, errr, you will be viewed as having Disassociated yourself.

  Me: Not Disfellowshipped? You used to be Disfellowshipped - not that the end result of being shunned is any different.

  JW: Umm ... well now only two elders deal with it. It's not judicial ...

  Me: But the result of being shunned is just the same. Is that because in Bulgaria the Watchtower wanted to get round being a banned religon?
  

  JW: Umm ... err... (shuffling from foot to foot)

  Me: Now talk to me about "Hemopure" - why is that large fraction of haemogoblin from bovine blood a conscience matter with no sanctions? Why can JW's have that as part of a clinical trial in Europe or in South Africa?

  JW: Umm ...

  Me: I mean if you visited a very sick Circuit Overseer in Cape Town Groote Schuur Hospital he might have a bag of Hemopure up by his bed. It's red in colour - it looks just like whole blood. Wouldn't you be stumbled? And why couldn't little Sister Babyblead or poor Luke Heemya have one of the four "not-allowed" components to save their lives?

  JW: Well we don't rely on human reasonings we just rely on what the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" tell us. They are accountable to God.

  Me: And Jehovah's Witnesses may pay with their lives? No - forget human reasonings - give me a scriptural reason why one fraction is chosen as permissable and one isn't? Is that not going beyond the things written?

  JW: Well ... ha ha ... err ... if the Governing Body say it's OK then that is fine by me.

  Me: Isn't that how low-ranking Nazi's justified their disgraceful conduct?

  JW: You're just being an apostate! (Runs away shouting "Lalalalala ... "with his/her hands over their ears.)
