I wasn't born then but went to the 1969 Wembley, London 8 day International aged 8. The sessions were a blur of boredom but the food tents and double towers of the old Wembley stadium remain imprinted on my mind. I remember my first experience of London Underground trains which was cool. -

Is there any chance we'll get to see the outlines for March - August 2016? As in the source is still able to get his hands on this sort of thing from now on? -

@Slidin
I was present at the midweek meeting with the Amsterdam video and I thought that they said several Bible Studies were started. Not sure now.
But I thought: What is "several"? Why use the word at all? I would use "several" if say I handed out between about 4 and 8 tracts but didn't make a note of the number. Any more and I would have guessed at about 10 or a dozen.
So I believe they said "several" because the number was pitifully low for a four day event with two million visitors (if I heard that correctly). Let's give them the benefit of the lie and imagine they had eight start a study from these dozens of carts.
What sort of study would it be? A doorstep study of which half (4) would fizzle in two visits and maybe one would last more than a month?
It is truly pathetic.

@thedepressedsoul
Nice catch!
Topic 13 p.26 of the Good News brochure - printed in 2012 and used daily by keen JW's everywhere in their "ministry."

I wonder if the taxes page gets filled in at "the CO school" depending which country the CO lives in?

Coordinator for the elder body
by truth doubter ini was recently told that circit overseers must give up the position at age 70. is that true and if so, does the coordinator have to give up his position at age 70 also?

CO's go at 70
Sub-CO's at 80
CoBE's at 80.
Here's why.
CO is retired at 70 (so no car, no medical no nuffin' for two older JW's - don't forget Mrs. CO goes too.)
But he can still help out on his own dime as a Sub-CO for a few years and/or as a CBE. So if he is reasonably healthy he can be used in a struggling congo or circuit.
If he isn't he can be put out to grass and forgotten about.
I wonder what happens if Mrs. CO is a year or two older than hubby? Do they both get booted when she hits 70?

Yeah "speaker ratings" is done every year by three elders and sent to the CO.
The three elders were:
Auxiliary Counselor (remember him?)
School Overseer
Coordinator
I did it one year as the Aux. Counselor. You have to do this little dance when the one being reviewed leaves the room and the other two review him!
Mind you I don't know which three do it now, what with the new meetings etc.

Hang on Simon - what about the USA Catholics who didn't support NORAID?
And what about Catholics and Protestants throughout the USA and Europe who hardly know where Northern Ireland is let alone the politics that go on there?

RANT ON ...
Click on PORTISHEAD in the first post. Read the expenditure column in the most recent 2015 return.
£135,571 expenditure. Guess what that was for?
OK. It was the money saved for a new hall. The money was sent to the London Branch.
And the old hall that was shared with Clevedon is up for sale. Guess where that money will go? (Hundreds of thousands of pounds)
And Portishead is now disbanded with it's publishers shared out among three nearby congregations.
And Clevedon? Stuffed in with the Weston-super-Mare congregations as the 4th congregation, the poor relation forced to take over the graveyard meeting shifts of Saturdays and Mondays the other three "loving" congregations don't want.
----
Click on MONMOUTH - now comes up as (Assimilated) Ross-on-Wye West. Another victim of closure and a hall gone.
---
Click on CINDERFORD - nothing comes up! NADA. Disbanded, and spread to the four winds.
----
Think of the faithful brothers and sisters in just these congregations who scrimped and saved in the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's who built their own halls to serve as their centres for pure worship until Armageddon came and transported them to paradise.
Where are they now?
Dead. In nursing homes. In wheelchairs. On sticks. Sitting in plastic macs with their flasks of hot drink at conventions with their white haired heads bobbing at the next round of lies and promises from the magnificent 7 living in their ivory towers checking the time on their Rolexes ...
