WOW - 18 Elders in ONE congregation!!!

hazel grove congregation in stockport, cheshire, u.k.. not only is the congregation saturated with elders, it is/was pretty well saturated with cash - according to its 2014 financial statement to the charities commission.

The Widdecombe congregation in Devon has amalgamated with the Trumpton congregation of Camberwick Green. Their elders are,

Pugh, Pugh, Barney Mc Grew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grubb, Flack, Windy Miller, Murphy, Hazel, Bill Brewer, Jan Stewer, Peter Gurney, Peter Davey, Daniel Widden, Harry Hawke and Tom Cobleigh. Oh and Tom Pierce.

That's 18 elders. They are unique in that seven of them are firemen! (Google "Trumpton firemen" if you don't believe me.) One is a miller, one is a baker one is a postman and the remainder (the ex-Widdecombe lot) were done for cruelty to animals (Google Widecombe Fair Song) except for Tom Pierce who went to the police about it.

True story that.

the communist party has just enacted much tougher laws that criminalise christians if they do not pledge loyalty to the state.. chinese president xi jinping has warned that all religions now have to become "chinese" and the new laws will attempt to bring churchgoers and their leaders under party control.. the new laws will put the state firmly in charge, giving the communist party the ability to hire and fire church leaders and change religious doctrine to make it more chinese.... that means churchgoers will have to pledge loyalty to the communist party first.. there is good reason to be afraid.

chinese authorities have already started the crackdown in the christian heartland in the southern province of zhejiang.. it's been extensive and brutal.

letter sent today to the ministry of justice... .

spain bethel sent a letter recently last oct 3 interpreting that no elder or sm should request a certificate of sexual offenses as other churches or persons in contact with kids.

again jw.org interprets the law to their behalf.. a group of elders in madrid has sent this letter to ask clarification !!.

The good news is that the GB are utterly, utterly, utterly out of touch.

They show a Spanish family, dubbed with some northern English accented girl's voice - "Eeeeh! Ecky thump! Micky wants a Beemer! Not on yer nelly as 'eck as like!"

The girl is portrayed as living - as pointed out - in a house that only 10% of the world's population can dream of and is concerned about the lad's "materialism"!

Perhaps if he aspired to be on the GB and buy a lakeside apartment in upstate New York, have a big comfy office chair and a shiny TV studio from which to beam patronising sugary drivel to 8 million minions then she'd see his true spiritual worth.

It's not a big chart - it's just the hall servant's job to "do the count" and he puts the figures on a little chart on a small slip of paper which remains on the noticeboard until the end of the month then is handed to the secretary or put in the report box for him to put the figures wherever he puts them for the CO to beat up the elders with at the CO visit!

Which Org 'directives' did you blatantly ignore

i remember that we were always encouraged to let everyone at work know that you were one of jw's and therefore would not participate in any of their functions, parties etc.. this i outrightly refused to do.

my reasoning was that i was employed and paid to do a job and therefore my religious beliefs were a personal matter and therefore had nothing to do with my work.

secondly i had to work with these people.

Round my way the congregation puts its numbers up on a slip of paper on the noticeboard. We now have two results in and this is our results for October so far ...

Cong has 75 publishers

Sunday October 2nd - Drum roll please ... 45 in attendance! Plus "twelve listening on line".

Sunday October 9th - Drum Roll and baboom Tish! ... 55 plus ten!

Theocracy's great increase is truly astounding. These are even worse than our normal figures Bwahahahahaha!

(Not that I didn't have a conscience to start with but what with no mention of it in the bible - Onanism doesn't count, sorry - I soon stopped feeling guilty.)

Fantastic news! It seems that some elders are breaking ranks in Spain.

Can you tell who this group of elders are? Is it one congregation, several? Or what? How many in the group?

I just hope that this is a sign things are beginning to unravel for the bastards in Brooklyn.
