In my opinion stuckinarut2, they're stuck in a rut too.

The sly tactics the elders are using to malign my name!
by stuckinarut2 ini have had it confirmed now, that since stopping attending over 18 months ago, the elders have set out to deliberately ruin my name and character .. they have been talking to every witness from the local area and saying things like "be careful of him, he has the ability to implant thoughts in your minds, and he only pretends to be kind and caring".
so, all i have to say to them is, "bravo!
if that is the method you want to employ, you have reached the very depths of bad behaviour!".

Another Burnt Out Elder
by Spoletta inyoung elder(mid-thirties) in my congregation stepped down last night.
nicest guy, with two lovely kids, a great supportive wife.. it got to be too much, as the other elders are practically useless, let him do all the hard work, while they did all the "important" stuff.
literally ran him ragged.. he's still in good standing, gave the final prayer.

What Blondie said.
Here I am 4000 miles away in a different country and in the local congregation (75 publishers) there are at least five ex elders and a couple of ex min servs in different states of "spiritual - aka Watchtower - decay". Including me!
Good for that young elder. I hope he wakes up if he hasn't already.

JW Podcast About The Shenanigans of the Borg in Australia
by dubstepped inso here's a link to the latest jw podcast.
in it they talk about how the organization is structuring things in australia to get out of paying money to victims of abuse.
the short version, as i remember it, is that they are making each congregation its own individual charity.

Do you really need an intimate relationship right now?
Have you got a full time job (or two/three part time jobs that pay full time money)? No? Get one. Yes? Great.
Find warm clean digs and move in. Eat breakfast, make a packed lunch, go to work, come home, eat a meal, watch some TV, post on here and learn learn learn about the JW religion; go to bed. Rinse repeat.
At the weekend go shopping, walking, exercise, something cheap. Go home, eat a meal, read a book, study something to "improve" yourself and make yourself a better worker, feel more self assured, whatever floats your boat.
Do the above for six months and save every dime you can. Look at your co-workers and ask which ones seem contented and stable - accept or initiate some social activity with them.
At the end of that time you will be in the height of summer, can enjoy the fruits of your hard work and think about what to do next.
Post often and chat to us when you feel lonely! Keep toxic people out of your life.

The worst I ever did was have a few pints at the pub. The bonus was frequent trips to the toilet in the afternoon session and a reason for a walk around.

Actually that is a good point jwleaks - in fact if she lied "wilfully" she should have been DF'd shouldn't she?
What do these guys (WT & Elders) say in their prayers at night?
