New brother to have a bible study with
by Akid48 inwell i moved to a new congregation, and i have no one to study with and i didnt have a bible study in weeks and i was loving but one meeting my aunt said ''im going to set up a bible study with brother bob (dont his name)''.well come to find out brother bob is a man that puts a lot of pressure on you to join the school etc.. well right now im like fuck,because i dont know how to deal with brother bob so i just wanted to know if any could help me..

Not sure if you should do this but what hell would break loose if you said "Thanks for agreeing to study with me Bob, but I don't want a bible study. It's my aunt who wants me to have a bible study, but I don't. I'm only here to please her and I don't believe Jehovah's Witnesses have ever predicted anything of significance that has come true."

That is a very good question and I think it depends upon the keenness of the local BoE (especially the Secretary) in the UK. I know in my hall all the baptised publishers were supposed to get a form although one irregular but still nominally active brother I know was given a form by it being handed to his PIMI wife.
I know he hasn't been chased up for it (as of when I last spoke to him last week in early June) and that he hasn't signed it.
If you aren't at meetings and haven't reported for six months you will likely not be chased.

Musical Chairs in Bristol England = £1 million sterling!
by The Fall Guy inthe congregation shuffle rolls on in bristol england, and a cool £1million is to be made for watchtower britain.. bristol - hengrove has been disbanded as of may 2018 and is now merged into one of the prime real estate parts of the city in an area called clifton, with bristol-redland congregation of jw's.
the hall is an old victorian building, bought and paid for by redland since the late 1940's, although since then, bristol has seen expansion up until the 1990's to about 12 plus congregations in about 7 kingdom halls, and then reduced to 5 kingdom halls and 10 congregations.
redland has always stood alone with one congregation in it's hall.

I recognise that hall - it's been a well known jw hall in Bristol since before I was born (early 1960's) - that photo is taken from a road bridge over the local commuter railway line and the hall has a basement which is down behind the hedge in that photo.
It's a posh part of Bristol too - near the University and on the borders of Redland and even posher Clifton.
A really good site for developing even if a new developer has to keep the exterior looking the same.
The world famous Clifton Suspension bridge is just over a mile away.

Congregation about 30 miles from me (that has a PIMI relative of mine in it) last year had a fifty five year old booted bethelite and his wife move in. Story goes he was in a Bethel for twenty five years and when it closed he got moved to London; then last year he got booted out of London to a rural England congregation.
So a foreign national, with no pension, at age 55 has to find accommodation and work for him and his wife. The congregation has a "wide boy" who runs "self employed" (not on his books as employees with proper benefits) teams of cleaners and window washers and so our Booted Bethelite is washing windows, paying £600 a month for rental of a small flat and with no pension contributions. His wife is working as a part time NHS assistant and pioneering.
They still put on a brave face and "love Jehovah" but word is he especially is disilllusioned (but quiet about it) as the delusion runs deep with his wife.
They remind me of an old proud couple who have been conned out of their life savings but who are too proud to admit it or at least cannot bear to face up to it.

Good move Simon. And I'm glad that (for the time being at least) you have left him on the board because when he posts he can be replied to; so any lurkers or those that have not made their minds up yet can analyse what he writes and the responses.
"Black Spirit" (BS) will waken up more searching, honest and thinking people to the hypocrisy, money hungry and double talking behaviour of jw leaders than he could ever realise.

You won't believe this ... Jehovah's rich blessing has befallen me !!!
by dubstepped inmy dad died a couple years back (not how you thought this would start, i know).
he was an elder, and a very emotionally abusive father, well before the point where he ever shunned me.
he died pretty much penniless, and never would buy life insurance or anything.

Damaged, Black Spirit doesn't even know who we are to be witnesses of. He ignores Acts 1 v 8 as does his Governing Body who he gives "obeisance" to.
You will find much love and support here from genuine people. People who don't cover over child abuse and spout false predictions to retain control, luxury apartments, power and money and a very comfy lifestyle on the backs of others.
Jesus had "nowhere to lay his head" and preached from fishing boats and hillsides - the GB can lay their heads in the nicest apartments in apartments in printing and video production factories throughout the globe and "preach" from comfy chairs in plush offices.

He forgets the context which is a few verses back at Hebrews 13:7 - 9.
