Me here again ...
Of course if you are really intent on staying in then move to a high ratio of males to females. Alaska? Only half-joking.
i am 30 and i am hoping to meet the brother who i will love me for me and would want to marry me.
i want to marry only in the lord but as the balance of brothers and sisters are not even and i am getting older as time goes by, im kinda a little panicky now.

Play gently people - we were there once.
Now asiandiana I hate to say this but if you prove to yourself whether you are following the truth first - as in the real honest to God truth as opposed to the "truth" of the ever changing direction of the leaders of Jehovah's Witnesses - then that would possibly open your horizons to new possibilities.

"extra large perches for the vultures" but not financed through higher purchase beforehand.
i know there are many posts discussing the may money requesting televangalism...er... broadcast i mean!
but i wanted to start one where anyone can put what they have heard any non-exjw, non-apostate witnesses say good or bad about the broadcast.
i don't see how it can't rattle followers... but then again i might be surprised how they can twist things (2+2=5).

Text received by me from a still in ex-elder who as far as I know is still not a doubter.
Him "Have you seen the May Broadcast?"
Me (playing dumb) "What's it about?"
Him "First it's give us your money then followed by quit your job and go to the meeting!"
Me "You winding me up?"
Him "Watch it and see for yourself."
The next day I texted him back
Me "Wow! You were right! what happened to Luke 14:28?"
No reply as yet ...
my father passed away this week.
we are going to have a funeral for him.
he was not a witness for many years but a lot of his family is still associated.
for those of you who have already faded due to family still being in, have you noticed how the noose is tightening?.
if it's not memorial, it's special day assembly.
if it's not that, it's convention or the special talk.
You do need to be firm. Whether they are showing sincere loving interest or whether they are on a power trip "treat these two imposters just the same" and simply say as many times as you need:
"Thank you for your interest, brother - I have some personal matters that need all my attention right now and so I won't be able to join in/join up/do that/have a shephering visit/go on the ministry with you/ if anything changes I'll let you know."
They will let you go or may offer help - if so politely say
"like I said brother I have some matters to attend to over the coming weeks - if anything changes I will let you know."
If they really persist just put your hand up and say "I know where you are if I need you, gotta run!" and walk away.
Rinse and repeat as often as you need.
i have a pretty good intuition but i have to admit i am going back and forth on the jw tv may broadcast.
i keep asking myself are they really in financial trouble (wishful thinking) or are they just grabbing for more money?.
i always appreciate reading everyone's thoughts and ideas on here.. let me know what you think.

Me again ...
Something is urgent and ongoing too. Losing D.O.'s; kicking bethelites out. Closing branches. Normally if they want to raise the bank balance they get the CO's to lean on the cong. elders or to mention it in their circuit talks. This time they've cut out the middle men. Maybe too many cong. elders are wary - especially if they've just sent a six figure sum off to the branch or HQ.
The fact these well-fed men aren't wearing their rings shows they've at least received some negative feedback from these forums.
I hope it's fear of pedo lawsuits but surely that can't be all of it? Perhaps Babylon's waters really are drying up!

Someone on another thread said why not rent out regional translation offices at say $3K a month rather than spend a million bucks on one. It's a good point.
Jesus (who had nowhere to lay his head of course) didn't tell his disciples to buy an upper room for the last supper did he?
