Which bible character do you hate the most?
by Bonsai inthe more i think about it, the more i feel an extreme dislike for the apostle paul.
he was on par with hitler in his treatment of the jews before he "saw the light".
he replaced jesus teachings of love and mercy with a more legalistic, pharisaical concept of devotion to god.. any evil person can come to believe in god and worship him if the scales were literally and miraculously removed from his eyes.

@bradford
Oh yes there are tremendous money saving possibilities with CO's. You could halve them like this:
Present circuits double up so that one CO looks after an expanded circuit of 40 congregations. Wife is allowed to type up all schedules, be his secretary. (I mean if Monica Applewhite can see the elder book and branch manual then why not?) He must visit each congregation at least once a year. He has a pool of at least six (unpaid) brown-nose asst. substitute CO's from among the 40 congregations who can do the other visit in the year.
Then consolidate the congregations so that the 40 drops to 36 which will allow the CO a bit more time to exercise control over difficult congregations by personally visiting twice a year where needed. (or for a half week along with the sub CO)
This will allow a bit more time for extra assembly days as the circuits will need to be divided into A.B.C.D. sections.
Think of all those cars, apartments and insurances that can be saved. Good eh?

Is my friend on the way out of the organisation?
by The Rebel inwhen i left the watchtower i realised it was best to put friendships on hold.
however i mentioned to my best friend that i didn't agree with how they handled child abuse issues and that was one of the reasons i left.. anyway as i am fortunate and own two rental apartments and he is a plumber so we have kept in contact, in that i email him when i require his services and he sends me the invoice.
anyway i am now dissociated, but yesterday i emailed him about a pluming problem, and he replied.. " sorry we missed going to the indian ( this was a comment made about us having a meal together about 9 months ago, which i backed out of because i felt he was too indoctrinated and i had not disassociated myself) anyway his email continued:-.

Don't go for the meal (if he agrees) too locally for his sake. If he gets seen with you things may unravel too quickly for him.
Of course he could be keeping you sweet for the work you give him but then again you might explain any discovered meeting between you as a business discussion.

Wow! How old are they?
Anyone remember the CO-lite (shorter CO visits as in three days) thread in "news from mother ship" a few years back?

Does a brother have to be appointed an MS to be an account servant?
by 4thgen inas many of you know, my ex-husband was removed as an elder for child abuse.
i was told at the time he would never be reappointed in any capacity.
yet i heard today he was appointed as an account servant.

Accounts Servant is usually a Ministerial Servant. Sometimes an Elder. Very unlikely to be a non-appointed man unless there is a real shortage of brothers.
I know of one hall where the Territory Servant (maps) had a non-appointed man (ex elder actually) but only due to having not enough servants.
Here is how it works.
Accounts nearly always has a servant if there is one available. Sometimes an elder.
Mags dept and Lit dept might be combined under one servant (if there is a shortage) and each dept has a non-appointed assistant.
Maps usually a servant. Rarely a non-appointed man.
Sound - most likely not to b a servant if short on bods.

Jesus didn't have anywhere to lay down his Tennis Racquet did he? And to him the sea of Galilee was more like an ice rink than a swimming pool wasn't it? -

Jehovah's Witness spared jail over grooming girl
by Researchedandenlightened inhttp://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/news/crime/jehovah-s-witness-spared-jail-over-grooming-girl-1-7551106.
a jehovah's witness who groomed a girl has walked free from court.. .
richard ogilvie was given a suspended prison sentence after a judge ruled his conduct was 'bad, but not as bad as some cases we see before these courts'.. the victim's father said he 'understands and accepts' the sentence and hopes the sex offender treatment ogilvie receives will prevent another child and family suffering at his hands.. .

Special Pioneer Sister-in-Law and Husband just got their letter.
by cappytan inwell, my sister-in-law and her husband, special pioneers for only a couple of years, just got their letter.. her comment was along the lines of, "they're having to do this because they forgave all those kingdom hall loans a few years ago and the brothers aren't donating anymore.".
when my wife told me, i laughed so hard i farted.
;).

It is hilarious - "the brothers and sisters aren't donating because the loans were let off" - just wait until she hears the letter to be read out this week with the underlined "very" in saying how very generous the congregations have been!
So everyone is very generous and yet we've run out of money!
Ha ha ha ha ha! - Luke 14 v 29 applies.
