I haven't exited or even faded (I have mentally of course) but I suppose buying Crisis of Conscience and having it on my bookshelf is pretty much up there.

What's The First "Worldly" Thing You Did When You Exited The Cult?
by pale.emperor inwhen you finally and officially exited the cult, whether it be by disfellowshipping, disassociating or fading - what was the first things you did that are considered "worldly"?.
for me, it was like crash landing on another planet that looked like earth but was completely different to the earth i knew.
i wanted to learn everything that i thought i already knew.. first things i did:.

Campaign to invite people to meetings
by StarTrekAngel injust found out last night that our congo is starting a campaign to invite interested people to meetings.
the instructions for the campaign clear out that "interested" people are not just those whom we visit often or have bible studies with.
it includes and random stranger we may talk to and who may show a hint of interest on the religion.

Bump!
And to add ...
Here is just one of the WT titles and brief description for October. (For all those extra attendees!)
Study article for October 24th - 30th
"Do Not Let Your Hands Drop Down"
Based on Old Testament rubbish about Moses lifting a stick and how as long as he did so Jehovah would help him fight those pesky Amalekites. Don't drop that stick folks or Jehovah will let you fail!
That'll get 'em coming back for more.

Performance Impact due to Google Indexing
by Simon injust a heads up in case the site seems slow - you're requests are competing with googlebot because it's being indexed and it's really going at it ... a minute ago there were 40+ instances fired up there were so many requests coming it.
i guess the data doesn't have far to travel so it can hit things hard.
i did have a throttle in place but took it off because i wanted to speed things up a bit ... well, it worked!.

Will they change the Yearbook format?
by freddo inpure speculation here but i'm wondering if - with the numbers flat-lining - that the gb will stop giving country by country stats, or perhaps at least some of the statistics.. we used to get a monthly stat in the km - then that was "simplified" to "highlights".
only the "good" stuff.
then with the new clam workbook, no stats at all.. i wonder if the yearbook will soon only contain "positive" spun stats.

We used to get a monthly stat in the KM - then that was "simplified" to "highlights". I.e. only the "good" stuff. Then with the new CLAM workbook, no stats at all.
I wonder if the yearbook will soon only contain "positive" spun stats. After all if pioneers are really dropping and baptisms are down and congregations are down and memorial attendance is down and partakers are up and growth has become negative that would let those pesky meddling apostates frame mischief against the borg.
How would it be spun so as to not give ammunition to opposers to "persecute" bunker hiding JW's with?
Your thoughts?

I guess that as this is close to the border with Mexico that there is a high proportion of Spanish speaking brothers and sisters. If so then the baptisms are even lower than you might expect?
