I think the Bible and its statements about Jesus can be arranged in many a way, usually fitting the preconceived beliefs/religion/cult of the person's view.
My take now is "I don't know", but my best suggestion as to what the bible can be interpreted as saying now is this.
Jehovah - God the Father
Jesus - a God subject to Jehovah, a separate being, one with him in purpose but who has now been given full authority by the father to act on his behalf.
So Jesus can be worshipped, (Heb 1 v 6) preached about in his own name, (Acts 1 v 8) prayed to directly, (Acts 7 v 55 - 60) and called God. (John 20 v 28)
If you choose to pray to Jehovah it should be in Jesus name.
MICHAEL - I believe 1 Thess. 4 v 16 can be read in both ways so thanks for your post I am going to do some more research.
