Austrian Branch Participating in Interfaith Discussion

on june 9th, 2009 austrian chancellor werner faymann met delegates from the 14 churches in austia that are registered under public law.it was called a dialogue about the cohesion of the austrian society in which things in common should be emphasized and not seperating things.

among the participating churches were among others catholic, protestant, greek orthodox, jews, muslim, mormons, buddhist and - jehovah's witnesses!.

hi, sherri.. i want to thank and commend you for your efforts in exposing the watchtower society for its history of deception, doctrinal flip-flops, and false prophesying about the end of the world.. i belong to a discussion board of mostly ex-jehovah's witnesses, and your revelations about the wts on the view have caused many to seek out our site.. one thing i'd like to ask, are you aware of the wt's past view that black people are inferior to others?.

I ' ve only watched the view a few times: and here (south africa) just this week Monday she said she had been a J W and her father too, that he had been 'excommunicated' (ie disfellowshipped) and that she was instructed to NOT talk to him: she said she did anyway, because of Love: A biblical COMMAND! Sraight up. Then, she said she is no longer a Witness and now attends a non-denominational Church, AND ( get this !!) spoke of the hypocrisy of the leaders of 'certain churches' .. hmmm, wonder which one, given her background and from which she left!

I mentioned this to another here, and on this board.. and that how this will help elevate the debate (thx for that expression Obama 'ou pal' ;) ensuring some 'scale-dropping' and maybe more awareness of the general public here of J W Org' s true nature (of the beast?! )

yes, i am enjoying realizing the truth about the truth.. but there is another side to it.

the world as we know it didn't seem to me to be the way that god intended it to be.

i know i was brainwashed, but it felt good believing that all the bad things would be changed.

This gobbly-gook was an appendage from Rutherford. It is not Biblical. It does confuse. It is what has here evidenced itself on this thread to be what is most discouraging and 'at DIRECT odds' with the idea of Paradise. The Divine Plan and ALL the early Towers .. up until circa mid-1920's DID NOT treat of an 'impending destruction'.. and a life in Paradise basically ONLY with other ORG-anites! Never. These are incongruous with God's nature. What they are ARE the carrot on the end of the "ORG-stick" to keep its followers loyal to themselves (the G B, and formerly Rutherford) and the "why!" Russell's teaching in "The Divine Plan OF The AGES" had to go, to become 'old light'. . He taught the "Restitution of ALL" , that ALL would have a Ressurection .. and pre-eminently it had to do with a correcting of the nature of man to become more like that of His own.

Governing Body Talks @ Convention

well the convention was extremely long and boring but i decided to take specific notes on brother morris's talks for discussion here on jwd (and i was also able to get a few extra copies of the creation dvd so if anyone wants one, pm me).. overall, the brother is not a great orator and sometimes awkwardly raises his voice.

i am aware that some of the friends were a little disappointed to say the least that we did not get a more "famous" gb brother at the first international convention, but he speaks for the gb, so same difference.. it felt like most of his talks were around a.

The young ones are leaving in droves!!!

i hear that many congos are loosing all their young dubs and now only very old dubs are left.

it seems the jws religion is dying out because there are no youngins to replace the aging ms/elder/cos .

the young dubs are very internet savy and would rather play warcraft than go out in the field circus.. i remember a wt study article a couple of years ago that was entitled" when a young person rebels" or something like that - anyone know that mag?.

...there is truth in that many are leaving from many of the undeveloped countries (where access to the net is severely limited and horribly expensive) the dubbery is on an upward growth..

the wbts was pushing that everyone should visit bethel.they even had a special brochure on how one.

should dress when visiting bethel.no doubt some made plans well ahead of time to visit bethel hq this.

Anyway, I had Have! had that Problem!! in the past, but thank GOD it is passed!!!

Here was something from the 1968 Yearbook of an incident in Nederaland (Netherlands) and if anyone here has it or on disc, I should encourage your looking thereat and interested in your 'feedback'... ( I forget the book downstairs, and I m feeling lazeee - its in alphabetical order ) so, basically the incident is that this lady had "Demon Attacks" and - I am serious 0h after seeing even a neuroligist and the 'demons!' brrrrr! hahaa .. even'knocking her groceries from her hand' (maybe was her conscience and bags were filled of twnkies, Oreos and other rubbish) but anyway.. turns out the demons'fled' when she started studying!! Yada yada yad....Ah!! Ah hah.. goodness IT IS Hilarious, or would be if not so sad.. I mean to say; she likely (of course) needs!!serious professional medical attention for maybe seizures, or perhaps something like Bipolar disorder..

(NOW i don t wish ta go 'off-topic', & like to raise this under a different thread -- but is this not just one of those incidents that shows HOW theWTBTS policy on such leads to 'attracting' people who are often unstable ..??) ANY thoughts, any experiences..?? I have a barrow-full !!

These so-called 'true experiences' are like an "Advertisement" for 'cure of demon-influence'..come all ye mentally-disturbed!!!

does anybody remember "marking?"

for a while there was this arrangement, based on 2thess:3:14, wherby a talk was given on the service meeting describing a dangerous influence in the congregation, and reference was made to that scripture, thereby indicating to the congregation that this threat exists here, and that you should distance yourselves from anybody fitting that description.

frankly, it bothered me because even if somebody didn't know who was really being referred to, they felt like they might, so the congregation formed little fractures of suspicion.

i wrote to the society because of this divisive effect (that i'm sure wasn't the intended effect; creating a phantom "marked man," breaking up the unity in the cong...etc.).

I mean, I 've had a few say, : I would've greeted you, actually I saw you a few times but avoided you as I heard you were Disfellowshiped! Are you disfellowshiped? (Holy crap!??) (no, they didn't say Holy Crap.. speak it tho ) . I proceeded to find out that (I tink) i've been 'marked' of a sort that goes like: there's a blanket banning order "DO NOT speak to Brother X" he's'apostate or something'..

Loubelle you know what I am talking about... anywayzz I think you speak of the 'early' cong (something__..mere like the (wind) .. hmmm! Yeah. . quite a few cases there of a peculiar nature.

Interestingly had one elder accuse me (as I tried 'reasoning' with some J W's on streetwork) that "YOU worship Satan" my MY!! speak of markin

I subsequently find out that what he did (and that publicly) is quite illegal.. 'orribl li'l fella!!
