Ordained Ministers of J.W. part 1

baptisms are usually performed at assemblies.at the conclusion of the baptism talk,the baptism candidates are asked two q.affirmative answers qualifies the candidates as ordained ministers of j.w..we all have seen some candidates as young as 13 years,some as young as 12 years and even some as young as 9 years old.now in the eyes of the wbts these are qualified ordained ministers.. to my way of thinking these ordained ministers should be qualified to give sound advise or council.example,a 17 year old teenage boy has a problem with masturbation and is seeking advise.do you think he would receive sound advise on his masturbation problem from a 9 year old ordained minister of j.w.

(girl).in other religions this ordained minister would be qualified but i don't think a j.w.

Reniaa- maybe you should do your research a little better darling! The Church of England/Anglican (Cathlics little sister church- so henry didn't have to kill anymore wives, just divorce them!), has a two step ritual for baptism... the first is the 'christening' where the parents of the child commit to the raiseing of the child within the churchs community and by it's rules ( God parents are chosen to take on the responsibility in the event of the childs parents absence), the second is done at the age of 10-14 and it is called a 'Confirmation' this where the child raised as Anglican commits themselves to be a christian as an adult.

No two strains of the bible virus I fondly refer to as Christianity are the same- I have said it before- that book can be interpreted to say anything you want it to! I have done my research! I have done the rites of passage handed down to me by our dumbass 'forefathers' and I do believe you have missed the point of this thread entirely! Bob was pointing out the fact that it is a DAMN CRIME TO SEND CHILDREN OUT TO DO THE WORK OF EDUCATED ADULTS!!! The WTB only states number of people baptised- not the average age- this would look bad to the general public and put off any would be new borg lining up for their assimilation!

i was at a first aid course the other day and was told that americans no longer teach mouth to mouth resusatation which i think is quite possible but the reason given was that 1 out of 3 people in the states is either hiv or has hep b or c i find that hard to believe , any ideas ?.

I'm from Australia and have done our "first aid course". My first aid 'kits' that I have at home and in the car have mouth gaurds for use during 'mouth to mouth'- this is to prevent the spread of most bacteria from person to person ( from the patients point of view it would be hard to say "thanks for saving my life, but now I have cold sores- Thanks Mate!"). Im pretty sure it's just the 'American' fear of being sued for resussing someone who doesn't like french kissing that may put some people off doing it LOL ( Skippy just joking- I love the USA).

The role of the "firstborn Son" as the Creator?

the watchtower of 1 april 1978 (page 16), tells me:.

"through [the firstborn son], jehovah god brought into existence millions of angelic sons, the vast universe with its billions of galaxies and the earth with its abundant variety of plant and creature life.".

is the wt telling me that the "firstborn son" created black holes, dying stars, poisonous atmospheres, uninhabitable planets, comets that crash into planets, dangerous rays from the sun, and life-threatening places on earth?.

Bob- I see your point, and I also dont think a 17year is "qualified" to minister any advice or 'spiritual council' to a person dying of old age.

To be honest I would rather my children thinking of baptism video games at 14 than picking out baby clothes handing out WatchTowers because they are one of the thousands of teen pregnancies 'borg like' JWs we have now (in an area near you). Children thrown into early adulthood because of a worlds the GB of the WTB's obsession with sexuality or serious lack of.

Gotta Love the cut'n'paste options on this forum lol

Reniaa- I think I read that in an older issue of 'our kingdumb misery', i think it said "instead of getting down and dirty, get dunked be ever after sexually frustrated!". Personally I'd prefer my teenage children to be "allowed" to masterbate than get married at an early age just so they can finally get rid of their sexual frustration! I'd also like for my children to get a real education, the kind that teaches them to "think for themselves", not the kind that 'brain washes' them and turns them into 'borg'! At 14, I would prefer my children to be able to speak honestly to my about what is happening in there lives without them be afraid of me "SHUNNING" them because they masterbate!

it occurred to me that by introducing the concept of accepting blood fractions as being a conscience matter, the society has established a precedent for the disposing of other unfounded teachings.. consider, for example, birthdays:.

on your birthday it is allowable to eat cake.

Not sure what your point is here but, what i would like to know is- who was the "woman" who gave "birth" to the "first born son"???? and who married her to Joho before they... created him? did they have any "daughters" together? who was their nanny while they were busy making creating the "other" million or so "angel babies"??????

I apologize for my stupidity- woman were just an after thought in revealed religion and to Joho. A 'good' little wifey helper to bring forth children and to do the manual labor so Adamus can enjoy paradise while kissing Joho's ass feet. ( is it any wonder Eve poisoned Adam and herself- dont let the book fool you into thinking she believed that talking snake- she wanted Adam's lasy ass gone and offing herself was just the price she paid to finally get some rest!)

Closure of an Elder run JW forum

some of you may know of a longstanding jw owned and operated forum named "touchstone forum" (www.touchstoneforum.net/cgi-bin/yabb2/yabb.pl).

wrench, the elder who ran the board, closed its doors rather quickly a couple of weeks ago, and has refused to discuss the reasons for the closure.

no announcement of closing.
