  Apostate Brainstorming Session

  i have been meaning to bring this up for a long time.. sometimes, i think we (former jw's) who are very rightly concerned about all the lies of the governing body have some great ideas about how to expose jehovah's witnesses.. some of us have very passionate and distinct ideas.

  not a few of us have websites with our own personalities evident.. i don't wish this to get personal.

  even if i disagree with some presentations or rhetoric of some, i know that it is sincere.

  I dont want to the JW religion to vanish or be destroyed- people will always believe what they want despite the edvidence in front of them. I would just like to see a crack down on the pain and suffering that cults like the JW's inflict on their members- like the blood, shunning, DFing, restrictions on education and hetrosexual only policies...

  I would like to see major changes in these main issues from within the religion itself- failing that I would like to see more governments ban these practices and make it easier for victims of the cults policies to seek due compensation for their plight!

  first i caution anyone new to having faith in the bible on their own on reading further in this thread, i'm checking for who has researched this and who wants to research it.

  this may be very disturbing.

  i don't know why i can't seem to find any other sources having caught on to this, it may be god's time for this to be revealed.

  EOM- Im not against god, I just dont believe the bible (the bulk of it) to be inspired or an honest portrail of Gods charactor/will/plan... I am a Deist of sorts- for me that is the most honest path I can find at this point in time!

  A scene from my novel - last days calculation

  i have an agent looking at this thing, who knows what might come of it.. after reading some recent posts about last days, solar eclipses and the like i decided to show everybody how my fictitious religion did it.

  hope the flashbacks aren't too bad.

  i call this the "all roads let everywhere" method of interpretation.

  How easy is it to pretend to be a spirtual JW?

  for arguements sake, lets say you walk into a hall where you are not known and introduce yourself as one of them, how easy would it be to pass yourself off as a fully paid up devout dub?.

  i reckon i could do it even now, pull out a doudy dress, look misarble, say all the right things and thanks to jwn i'm in the know about all the most recent developments.

  I stuck out like a sore thumb on my virst visit to a KH- it was summer and I was 5 months pregnant with my youngest son... I wore my favorite pair of maternity jeans and nice sleeveless top and a pair of black flip flop shoes.. everyone was like LOL didnt help that I walked in 5 mins late LOL

  But now, I reckon I could walk the walk and talk the talk as well as look the part if I ever wanted too- by why would I ever want to??? Why would you want to Highdose??? can we just go out for a drink instead? at least that way I can kill brain cells while having a good time Cheers

  Do you believe God has one true organization on earth?

  for those who believe in god, do you believe he has one true organization on earth?

  word of our intended slow fade has abruptly become a public knowledge.

  my husband was talking to his sister on the phone today, breaking the news to her and one thing she kept bringing up was that god has to have an organization on earth.

  True worship isn't reliant on any organisation - it's between God and the individual. The Christian lives a life of worship - it's not just about saying the 'right' prayers, doing 'stuff', reading the 'right' books or following a set of rules, its simply about living and moving in God's will, not man's.

  I'd only change one word of this- Christian to Believer... other than that- my thoughts exactly

  Christmas Traditions

  being raised a jw, i have absolutely no guidelines as far as christmas goes.

  i started celebrating as soon as i da'd myself...which is now ten years ago.

  so as someone on here brought up awhile back...i know all the christmas traditions i start with my children and will be passed on, started with me!

  Pancakes xmas morning! my mother started this when I was really young, and it's something I have carried on with my own children- regardless of where we are and who is with us, we eat pancakes- then open our prezzies....

  Nannacakes

  • 3 cups Self Raisin Flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)
  • 1 cup of white sugar (caster sugar is best)
  • 2 eggs (white & yolk)
  • add milk half cup at a time and mix untill you have a nice thick batter (approx 2 1/2 cups, but if you like thick pancakes use less)

  Beat the crap out of it and pour half cup portions onto a round small frying pan- cook on med heat (flip when bubbly) till golden and cooked through . serve with your favorite toppings...

  (My younger brother puts vegemite on his- yuk!).

  yes, it's been awhile, as you can see, i've been a little busy....lol.

  anyway, i named him cash (i love his name), he will be 3 weeks old tomorrow.

  i forgot how much work it is to take care of a newborn, but it's all worth it.

  What do you feel God wants you to do at this moment in time?

  open question, please list scriptures that give you that direction or what you base your answer upon.

  i know there are so many different viewpoints on this forum, it will be interesting for all to see them and what scriptures or reasoning they are based on.. some examples are,.

  do you feel only one needs to have love, faith in jesus, and those basics and that is what you must proclaim.. do you feel true knowledge must be taught to all, and as much as is known.
