If alcohol is included, I did. I even partook of valium and vicodin when I could. I needed to numb my mind to the BS.

I was DF'ed in 2001. I enrolled in college even though I KNEW I was gonna die. I might as well get an education. In 3 1/2 years I got my AS and BS with a 4.0 GPA. And I found out that the org was a fraud in the process. A win-win situation.

it is wise for a first time writer to write about what he knows, so i will write about my lifetime as a jehovah's witness.
but it will likely be less autobiographical and more about the sub-level markers that eventually pointed me out of the cult, doctrinal matters that bothered me under the surface, and the very real lack of love in that organization.. ideas?
thoughts?
Do your thang Jeff! Godspeed. Or not Godspeed, whatever floats your boat.

they say the average person will own about 25 cars in their life time.. from 1982 to 1988 i owned a 1971 dodge challenger convertible.
it had a 340 with a 4 speed stick.
i loved that car.. i didnt cry when my wife left me....i did cry when that car drove out of my life!.
A 1975 TransAm with a 4-speed.
will you go on vacation this year?
will you curtail your driving habits due to the cost of fuel?
will you cut back your spending for special occasions?.
I am just in holding mode. No real spending.

"by their love"...... shunning in the "borg" many times has effected not just the person that was dfed but other family members too.. my father was dfed in 1962 for "rebeliousness against the organization" he wanted to go to a different kh than we were assigned to.
needless to say that decision was later reversed.. that was strange, but how the witnesses treated my mother, sister and myself....was even stranger.
it was as if.... we now had some kind of leprosy.
I felt the weird juxaposition of being in a divided household. I was the same, but not quite. He blew shit back at the elders. I love him for that, many years later . . . .
