Stupid reasons why songs are labeled "bad"
by WTWizard inone, i have heard that, since boy george was on heroin, that listening to culture club would amount to taking it yourself.
to me, that is a lame excuse to ruin a song or discography.. another example was michael jackson's thriller album.
they wanted me to get rid of that album because i would be "supporting that apostate" by listening to cuts from it.

I remember the WTS bashing the Stones' "Let's Spend The Night Together." I liked it even more after it became taboo.

Today - November 8 - Rutherford's birthday
by kurtbethel inyes, we have the judge celebrating a birthday today.
they both had an impact on your life, in largely different ways.
this is your chance to share how you feel about how rutherford's writings and work has made a difference in your life as you pour a drink to the boozer and perhaps attend the candle light vigil at beth sarim tonight at 6.. .

Is the "Watchtower Study" = Question and answer a form of brainwashing??
by Witness 007 inon sundays study we were always told to keep answers brief and from the paragraph as some brothers would add "other meterial" to their comments.
the "correct" answer is right there in the paragraph.
read question --------find answer in paragraph------underline/highlight------read related {not] scripture-----raise hand---give answer from paragraph as though it's your own thought.

Are you sure leaving is a wise decision ?- Lurkers think twice- Part 2
by mankkeli inin the previous thread of this series, i called lurkers attention to the need of being discreet when contemplating an exit from the jw religion.
i mentioned that the thread was borne as a result of the general observations i made reading old posts here and discussing with many ex-jws and their lives have gradually turned out.
that thread alone was visited more than 2,980 times and graced with 204 contributions.

I was divorced three times as a JW. I helped inflate the numbers. :)
