Already had doubts from the time I got pubes... but I was about 15 and we were studying the revelation "book" for the upteenth time. I realized for every actual bible verse they qouted there was 2-3 paragraphs of conjecture, assumption, faulty logic and just plain stupidity. That's when I began to plan my escape. What about the rest of you? I was Mr. Exemplary too... Giving #3 and #4 talks at 14. Boo yaa... I was a giant in a land of midgets they should have known I'd be out of there soon. Thinking back... some did.

Did you read the literature?
by WuzLovesDubs ininitially i suppose i did.
i know i over studied the articles for the wt study because i thought my enthusiasm as a study would make me more accepted.
but after awhile i didnt read the awakes at all except for a cursory glance because i was giving them to people.

I used to "illustrate" the illustrations with my pen or highlighter. I wish I had saved those. I rememeber adding captions like a comic strip to a lot of the pictures in the Revelation book. I wish I had copies I could scan, it would be hilarious.

Random, bored musings
by sd-7 inat a certain point, you just get tired of watchtower-bashing.
i kinda miss the awesomeness my life had when things were more normal.
when i didn't know about being in a cult.

Sd-7 I think 80% of your problems can be solved by telling your wife you are going to the store a pack of smokes and six pack and never coming back. But that's my f-cked up solution to a f-cked problem. My advice is dangerous.

Difference between "raised in the truth" and "converts" that are now X-JWs.
by Brocephus ini am noticing a difference..... "raised in's" seem to be a little more relaxed and better suited for their world after the kh.
"converts" seem to be a little disoriented.
maybe b/c they saw the truth as away out of this crazy world only to be massive dissapointed.

I agree with you Lost Generation.... I got out with da quickness once I discovered what my penis was for. I got baptized before puberty or I never would have even though Dad was an Elder. I forget I ever was a witness sometimes around the family. I have to catch myself sometimes when I invite them out to do something forgetting it might go against their, bible I mean Watchtower trained conscience.

You could:
1. Find a real church of your preference and make new friends
2. Start drinking and hitting on loose and immoral women with out losing all your friends (your wife might leave)
3. Start gambling
4. Get into politics
5. Volunteer and do charity work
6. Learn to play an instrument and join a cover band and play some shows downtown.
7. Catch up on rated R movies.
8. Masturbate guilt free (with or without porn)
9. Discovery your bi-sexuality (please use condoms)
10. Wish your kids a happy birthday.
11. Make career desicions based on what you want to do with your life and for your family, not how many hours of field service you can give.
As you can see you got plenty of stuff to do, Mister. Get to it!
