i was df'ed for apostasy (brother-in-law caught me on this web site in march of 2007) and since my judicial committee in april of 2007 and subsequent divorce in october of 2007 i never looked back.
3 years later, my son (12 years old) is completely out (has only attended the memorial since leaving), and my daughter (10) is fading as best she can.

I don't miss the Jehovah club
by Gopher inwhy are the anonymous jw's we sometimes see on the internet so testy with former members of their religion?
they have heard the bible verse that they should give respectful answers to those that demand a reason for the hope in them.
after pondering this a while, here is my best assessment.. the jehovah's witness organization is like a club.

I need you help! When I was a child my dad exposed himself at work, but older elder just told me it never happened.
by life is to short inok i came from a very crazy family.
lots of abuse.
my dad exposed himself to me from the age of three until i left home at 18. my dad did lots of gross things but that is not the jest of this post.. one of the things my dad did that i clearly remember was exposing himself in the elevator at work to woman twice and he almost got fired for it.

From the elders point of view you are crazy because you have turned from Jehovah. Everything else is moot, you are crazy in their eyes and will not have credibility. That is why they dismiss you so easily. That and I can count on one hand the elders I met that actually gave a crap about PEOPLE and saw themselves are real leaders. Most are just company men, to keep everyone selling books.

The only thing that article proves is there are no atheists in Prisons as well as in foxholes. Regardless, of my opinion I will say in my experience Atheist are usually pretty decent people even though I am not one and I have no problem respecting their right to not believe.

What religion would you recommend for those who want to leave the WTS?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inafter i decide to leave the jehovah's witnesses one day,i will not look for a new religion.
the damage that the wts has caused me leads me to mistrust all men and religion.. i trusted these men from the wts .
i gave up 35 years of my life to find out that the wts is just a printing and real estate corporation disguised as a religion.

Hey man I have been through the same thing. Hang in there keep trying you will find your game. Remember what David Deangelo says... women are programmed to avoid "wussiness" and "desperation".... Women don't want to hear how much you like them as much as they want to see and sense you being in control of your life and your self. Don't talk about you problems, make lots of cocky but funny jokes.
