  What would it take for you to conclude that the WBTS is not God's channel?

  i wondered if you could answer this question for me?

  you seem to be fine with the fact that they are false prophets, that they have changed the bible and that they have entered into an agreement to "uphold the aims of the un".. what is the deal breaker for you?.

  i suspect that there isn't one, and that is not a reasonable position.. please tell me there is something they could do that would make you question their legitamacy?.

  I'm so tired of these biblical circle jerks. I refuse to respect anyone who, after being exposed to the monumental evidence against the bible(and all other holy books for that matter), refuses to reject all of this superstitious nonsence for what it is.

  These people are still living 2,000 years ago. Look at Reniaa's terminology -- she refers to governments as "Caesar". You know who else does that? Other Christian sects who have refused to enter the 21st century, that's who. I've got bad news for you, Reniaa: the Caesars haven't been in charge of Rome for a while. In fact, the last time they were in charge they welcomed the new fast growing cult of Christians with open arms and spread legs. It's unfortunate that they repayed the favor by destroying many of Rome's libraries because they thought that the scienctific knowledge held within was from Satan, thus sending Humanity into 1,000 years of darkness. Aparently, some things never change. I'm tired of fighting your stupidity. It's 2009. Get fucking used to it.

  The fatal flaw in his reasoning is that he has forgotten that the org has the potential to grow past 10 million by 2017.

  He says that it's a numbers game and that all he needs is a bigger force to win. Unfortunately, the odds of the JWs staying at 7 million for 8 years is rather slim.

  Growing up in the religion I always wondered why kingdom halls are designed the way they are. For instance:

  *Why don't they have windows?

  *Why do the doors look like they've been designed to lock someone in(or out)?

  *Why are the chairs always incredebly uncomfortable?

  *Why does it look like more effort went into designing the lobby than the audotorium?

  *Why don't they ever soundproof the walls leading to the outside when most KHs are near resedential homes?

  *Why is there never any artwork in the KH?

  *Why do the three colours of paint they choose never match eachother?

  recently it's come to my attention that the other teens in my congragation are being pressured by their parents to pioneer.

  the main problem is that, like me, they're all "apostates".

  because of this amusing turn of events, i'm thinking about starting my own apostate pioneering group with them.

  Thanks for the advice, everyone!

  Surprisingly, I'm in pretty good standing with the elders. They always ask me to do assembly parts and every once in a while they tell me that I'm a really good influence on the teens in the hall. I really don't know how I got this reputation since I don't even try to look like a good witness.

  All of your advice on higher education is appreciated. I'm happy to say that all of us are planning on going to college -- though some of us are clueless on how to do so. I'll definitely relay your advice to the ones in doubt.

  Personally, I'm planning on joining the Marine Corps in about a year. I figure I'll donate some of my salary every month (about 300$ out of 1200$) so my friend can keep a studio apartment while I'm in the Corps. He feels guilty about it but I just tell him that when I get out I'll appreciate the place to stay.

  Speaking of getting out, when I finish my enlistment I'm planning on paying my college with the GI Bill and whatever other financial aide I need.

  the main problem is that, like me, they're all "apostates".

  because of this amusing turn of events, i'm thinking about starting my own apostate pioneering group with them.

  You completely missed the point of my original post. We aren't running around the hall gloating about how "bad" we are(the brothel part was in jest and if you couldn't see that then you're a complete idiot). The reason why I was thinking about starting the "Apostate Pioneer League" is because they are essentially being forced by their parents to pioneer. They don't have a choice. It's either get a full time job or pioneer and most of them can't find work.

  And speaking of not having a choice, if they could move out and DA themselves they would. Two of them are under 18 and the one who is 18 wants to room with me but neither of us can support ourselves right now. So until we can we have to pretend to be in the religion. That doesn't mean that we can't speak the truth about the religion to people on the outside. And it certainly doesn't mean that we have to straight up kiss all the elders' asses.

  Some of you might as well still be in the religion -- you are still as dogmatic and judgemental as any of them.

  None of us believe in anything the Watchtower teaches and we all actively speak against it.

  The term "Apostate" is just loaded language that the society uses. In reality, no one is an apostate by the WTBTS definition because the word itself is a poorly crafted strawman made to invoke fear in the R&F.
