Seems like every year there is some Hugh tragedy in the U.S. A public outcry follows for better precautions. Does our movie theaters turn into extensions of our airports? Will we have to take off our shoes, hats, etc to enter the movies? More Paranoia for Americans. WHATEVER IS DONE.....there will ALWAYS be these sort of crimes. You can't stop the unexpected

It had been reported that he had 6000 rounds of ammo in his possession. He had enough ammo to kill half the town or possibly more. This guy was beyond crazy. I want to know why he did it?

I understand Quendi. They will be connected regardless because it's a national story. There are shootings at movie theaters that are not top stories. The nature, location and magnitude of this crime will draw comparisons. You can blame the media for that

Sorry Quendi, but I'm sure this was planned. Nobody pops up with a set of guns, a face mask, bulletproof vest, and some tear gas in a movie theater after midnight without it being planned. Bad for Colorado to get another tragedy that becomes national news. Why is this being labeled as the "Batman Shooting"? Like a fictional character is the cause of this madness. Now people are going to associate a movie with a terriost villain(Bane) with these murderers.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I had a good convo with her today. Nothing controversial. I'm still at a disbelief that I'm 29 and I'd never had a relationship with a women. The WT made me fearful with the dating rules and gossiping culture. This is baby steps for a new life. Hopefully I'll have a relationship soon. I'm tired of being single!

She's educated and works in the Healthcare industry. I'm kind of nervous to call her again, since I don't really know what to talk about. I don't know if I should tell her of my background in a cult. Funny thing is....I've met another girl not long ago and I talk/text her all the time. I feel comfortable talking to her but shes not wanting to go further than friends for right now. I want a relationship but I'm scared to talk. DAMN!

The reason I just can't believe in god
by jambon1 infor the first time in ages though, i actually re-evaluated my position on god/wt.. i had attended a few funerals in the spring and had also reignited some friendships with people from the hall.
but actually, i just keep going round in circles in my mind.
i cannot back an organisation with such a flawed past and one that endorses such policies as shunning & blood.

I'm more of a agnostic. I feel like from what I've been taught about God through the WT. If it wasn't him that came down to the earth and experienced the suffering of man firsthand, then he should come down, get some Big kicks in the nuts, and have his shirt and shoes tooken! I liked the example that Breakfast of Champions used. I'll use another one. Let's say that your best friend witnessed a very brutal crime. Like a brutal rape and beating of a under aged child. He does nothing about it and you find out and confront him. He says, "I saw who the assaulter was but I decided that this wasn't the time to interfere. I know where he lives and I might get him any day, unless.....someone else gets to him first for something else." You would either a) Kick your friends butt or b) Call the Police or a combination of both. God does the same thing as this friend every minute of every day and somehow gets a pass by believers. Just because he says he is merciful and loving.
