Ahhhh Thanks Celty!!!! I dont know if I'm relieved that I can now understand some of your choice phrases, or if I should be offended considering I never understood what you were saying before and now I do

I cant remember what I did last year for memorial day. But this year I actually have plans. Friday I'm going over to Sassy's to
take advantage of hermeet the girls and have lots of drunken fun. Saturday will be in Palm Springs for a wedding, and Monday going to the Rennisance Pleasure Fair! -

Racism - American Idol?
by confusedjw in.
earlier this season there were some reports and accusations of racism in the voting for the american idol.. but now with the last two seasons being capped off with a black and white finalist and the black singer winning both times should this put to rest the accusations?

I think the whole "Racism" cry was ridiculous. Jennifer Hudson have a nice voice but not an image people wanted to buy, plain and simple.
It was stupid. The first like 4 or 5 kids that got voted off were white.

Kingdom Melodies - What's the deal?
by pratt1 insince i was an active witness for so many years, i only recently discovered many beautiful gospel and spiritual songs.
can anyone tell me why jw's are so against singing any other songs than kingdom melodies.. .
most are just, well in a word bad.. i actually remeber when all of our songs were played on a piano by a tone deaf elders bethelite's wife.

I too really enjoy Gospel music. There's such a creation of energy and feeling that you get from Gospel music, it truely is a joy.
The only kingdom melody that ever got to me was the "When Eyes of blind ones see again," I would cry my eyes out, only because it's the unoffical funeral song and reminds me of every funeral I've ever attended

Have you bought anything from any garage sales lately?
Actually, I was having what I call "night terrors" for a while. I'm usually a very vivid dreamer but these were more of just an overall feeling of dread. For me it was when I had moved in to a new place with new people. I was trying to get adjusted and familiar with my new sleeping area. I had a whole lot of stress too in my life during that time. I eventually "grew" out it though. Oddly enough, by watching "scary" movies before I went to bed. I'd think that I was going to have nightmares and never did.
p.s. one time I kept having this reaccuring dream that I was eating potato salad at a picnic and my teeth would begin to fall out of my mouth in to the potato salad. It bothered me so much that I finally went to a "dream specialist" about it. Turns out I was grinding my teeth in my sleep when I was stressed

Darlin, I'm glad that your friend is no longer suffering. You know that. I wanted to tell you that as I go to bed tonight you and your friend will be in my thoughts. I hope you will find the strength to get through this and keep your friend's memory alive. Something tells me you wont have a problem doing that though. You're one tough cookie

I once dated a "morbidly obese" guy. He NEVER went to amusement parks for this very reason. We went to Universal Studios once and he tried to get on a ride and the operators wouldnt let him on. It was terribly embaressing for him, and I felt terrible as well. But it was udnerstandable why they wouldnt let him ride.
