after reading the wt for last week's lesson on god's creative works i couldnt help but think that there really is a god, there has to be.
i dont want to start a creation vs. evolution debate but you have to agree that its an extremely remote chance that the whole universe, the planets, stars, the sun, the earth, the animals, humans came about by accident.
i mean, what the chances really.

Yes I struggle with these questions. I love nature, and humans, and human behavior, and also the undeniable proof of evolution. I believe evolution is a part of creation. Sometimes I think about the smallest things, and the Earth's balance, and all the factors that go in to keeping teh Earth balanced. It blows my mind. It only makes sense that there would HAVE to be a higher power, or powers behind existance. However when it comes down to religion, I cannot, in the most honest part of me believe that if there is just one god in a Westernized sense, that he could possibly put his support behind just one religion. What of the many faiths in the Asian society?
Wouldnt a singluar god who demands such devoted worship, according to the biblical god, understand, and make allowances for the evolution of our human society and the many many changes in religions and in forms of worship? Religion in my eyes is alot like the racial makeup of the United States, it's very difficult to find someone who is a "pure" race here anymore. Everyone is mixed with all kinds of things. It's difficult to find a "pure" religion.
i just wanted to drop a quick note.
last thursday a good friend of mine jumped off of a freeway overpass and killed herself.
ironically it was the same overpass that just 5 years before i had stood atop and climbed the fence with similar thoughts in my head when my family had initially disowned me.
I dont mean to be gruesome with what will follow in the rest of this post, so if you have a weak stomach please top reading here........................
This is what is getting me I suppose. I can understand if you do it quietly at home. But this girl was so angry with herself that she felt she didnt deserve to kill herself in a painless way. She jumped from the over-pass at about midnight on Thursday. She fell in to the carpool lane. People thought she was a dog and repeatedly drove over her body. No one even reported her body on the freeway, they just kept driving over her, over and over and over and over and over and over again. Not untill 11 am Friday morning did anyone report anything. The police investigated her "remains" on the freeway. There was nothing left of her to bury. Her family buried her favorite possesions in the coffin because there was no body left. Gawd! How can someone be THAT unhappy. And how can one's soul ever really have peace? I'm done feeling numb, at the moment I feel sick

Well, I've never been to Spain... but, I kind of like the music!!! mac
Spain is where my heart is. I love it so much. You must visit at least once. Especially the southern coasts. I'm currently working on aranging to stay there for 3-4 months next summer. Yes the music is wonderful, I just love the people and the lifestyle along the coast, specifically around Malaga and Nerja.

Well everytime it has been a complete shock to me, and everytime I was with the person either a day or two before it happened. It's a sad thing when people think no one will notice or they wont be missed. Believe me you will. Do please do soemthing about it.
