and was lucky enough to believe that it would be hypocritical of me to PRETEND to believe by going back and getting reinstated, so I didn't.
Good for you! Unfortunately I've know several whom it took much longer to figure this concept out
hey!
shotguns post got me thinking.
post your story is 3 sentences or less, if possible.

haha,haha, hahahahahahaha...... .
why the heck do they call it a "funny bone"?.
"lt's contribution to fluff", thread, coz it's a beautiful day outside and i should be enjoying it instead of being stuck in here .
Hey FMZ...... speaking of useless information, what's your recipe for Split Pea Soup again? I forget
sometimes when i log on to jwd i go directly to "jokes and humor" because i know that there will be something there that will crack me up.
i love to laugh and i think humor is great therapy especially when alot of us have been through so much.
its great that we can make fun of ourselves and can find the humour in many of our experiences.
very dry humour and people don't realise I'm joking. Gets you into all kinds of trouble
Hey ball. Amen, welcome to the club. I cant tell you the numbers of PMs from people who thought I was in some way offending them. Then I've had to break down my comment, at which point the usual response is "oh you're right, it really IS funny he he." So to make a long story short Ball, I can relate. I think you're funny though. And if all else fails, just do like FMZ and throw out one-liners from your "book of one liners" from time to time for no possible reason :)
has anyone ever seen or heard or knew about something that was wrong in the cong.
but never said anything because you were still under the influence?
do you regret not saying or doing anything about it now?
True, but in you NEVER look in the rear view mirror you'll never see that idiot behind you eating a sandwich, speeding toward you, without even a hint of hitting his brakes, in time to give him the finger, before he crashes in to you, sending you right in to a firehydrant, and sending gallons of water spewing in to the sky and in through your sun roof, therefore ruining the interior of your car.
so there.........

JH and Badger congratulating themsleves on their sense of humors
this is just one of many stories of a particular adventure i had, and one that i have thought of many times over the years.
i?ve been on a lot of road trips, mostly in the us.
i have always come across friendly folk, and this is a particularly heart-warming experience that i wanted to share with y?all tonight.
That is Wonderful Tale!!! you dont hear about that sort of thing anymore
One time, when I had just moved out and was dirt poor, my truck was low on gas on the freeway. My friend and I scraped together all of our change and had enough to buy just a little over a gallon, which was just enough to get us home. When i went out to the gas pump the gas just kept going and going. I went in to ask the attendant about it and he said that the guy behind me in line had paid to fill up my truck. It was the nicest thing. He took off before I had a chance to thank him.
i am trying to fade slowly, but am finding this increasingly difficult.
i can't sit through a meeting, i had to leave at the 1/2 the other day, because of my recent enlightenment, the hypocrisy is to much for me to take.
as i left you could see the looks on people faces, "oh she's just not spritual enough".
You're on the right track Nemo.......... that meeting you left at the 1/2 mark, next meeting you'll leave at the 45 minute mark, next meeting will be the 30 minute mark, the next will be the 15 meeting mark, then you'll soon start leaving after the opening song and prayer. Till finally you'll get dressed, drive to the kingdom hall, do a lap around the parking lot and head home.
In all seriousness though, you really ARE on the right track. I remember a time when I couldnt picture myself NOT going to the meeting on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and service on Saturday. Now I cant picture myself going. Spirtuality is indeed a VERY personal thing.
I faded for about a month or two till I went to my judical meeting, told them what I had problems with and just stopped.
i am sure this post will anger a few people, and i respect that some find the idea of killing an animal repulsive.
all i ask is that, if you reply, you concentrate more on what you think of hunting and culling, rather than posting insults that i am a brute etc.
unfortunately it is a sad fact of life, that sometimes it is necessary to kill one or many animals to make sure things stay in balance.
aahhhhhh I'm not turning on you Badger. I am still a member and CEO of "Badger's Against Culling"
I was just asking if you had ever seen it? I'm thinking of making a video to send to PETA. Do you know of any Badgers that would be willing to volunteer for the cause?
p.s. might I add, that this is the first time I've ever been part of a "do you think I should shoot little kitties in the head" thread

lol........ have you ever seen a badger squirm if you take them out in the middle of the street, on a hot summer day, and hold thier furry little paws down on the hot asphalt?
i'm going to go repent of my thinking about animal torturing sins now

I think there are sooooo many witty and stimulating people on this particular board. Of all the boards, in all of the Internet Land, I laugh the MOST on this one. I think there is a great chemistry between soooo many people, everyone does a great job of feeding off each other's posts. Gotta say though, some of the things we've gotten ourselves in to in chat, far surpasses some things I've ever seen in print. (okay, am I being dramatic here or what?) :)
