  Anyone else see the irony thats JWs state they cannot judge another person but its perfectly acceptable to have their own kangaroo court.

  i thought it best i stay a lurker.

  it's just right now, i'm going through some doubts and just plain discouraged.

  sometimes, trying to do everything just wears me out, and i feel like i'm suffocating.

  Hi and welcome

  I can understand what you're feeling. I was a JW until I was 27 and went through the exact same emotions.

  Whahappened is right - sometimes the loneliest place in the world is in a KH. Especially if your not in with the "in" families. Its good that you have a life outside of the congregation - getting out and meeting non-witnesses is a real eye-opener. We're not all evil. xx

  Trying To Make JW's Seem "Normal", One Cult Member At a Time

  it hasn't been till the last couple of months that i have even given a passing thought to jw apologists.

  as welcome as they are to post their opinions, i am struck by something that i recognize in myself and others as i reflect on my jw past.. basically, there comes a certain point, where if you are going to stay a jw and you are of a bit more "liberal" mindset, that you will try to change the focus a bit.. i recall this happened to me.

  as a ms, i was very gung ho for most jw dogma and ways of dealing with people.

  Not sure where AE is in England but I just found a KH in Berkshire. I'm sure you can find them.

  I know my old congregation was listed. It was in a popular tourist city and used to get a lot of visitors.

  does anybody know how many annointed are left alive??

  our friend who was one of the annointed has died, i cried so much but then i was excited knowing shes in heaven meeting apostle paul, peter and brother knorr etc....wow how great is that :).

  unsure how many are left though :((.

  Want to bet how long until they stop publishing the number of partakers. With the number constantly increasing not sure how long the latest "new light" on the anointed will last.

  It wouldnt surprise me if AEs cong gets a local needs sometime soon about these websites etc. Word is surely going to get back to an elder who is going to lay down the party line on going on these sites.

  Thats if they have local needs now - I've proudly not been to a meeting since the changes.

  Missed this thread last week. Shame it got hijacked.

  can't believe the song about the elders. Glad I'm never going to have to endure singing that one - what a load of BS! Although, I think that if this had come out when I was still in I would have refused to sing it - elders were the bane of my life ever since I was a child.

  Thats because you need to pay to get into the Thomson directory.

  You will find them in the usual BT directory if they have a phone line.
