The kilt isn't worn day to day - only worn at weddings.
It could be argued that the Scots are represented by Jack Barr on the GB instead. A faithful witless would claim that that was more important.
because i have carefully looked over every picture and representation i can find of the so called paradise earth published in the last 30 years.
there are people in all sorts of clothing from many cultures, american casual, african, asian, hispanic, and others.. but i have not seen a single image that shows you kilt wearers will make it into the new systemtm!.
does that make you so angry that your sporran stands on edge?.

i got no sleep at all last night... this was mostly because i was dancing on tabletops in nightclubs.
and also because i'd had way too much to drink, but mostly because i was having a great time!!
i got home around the time that everyone else was getting up.. it was soooo good!
bottle of irn-bru - us scots swear by it
i stumbled across this on you tube, and just want to say, this might be from the 60's, but this woman could damn well sing.. brittney spears shouldn't be allowed to clean her toilet.... well, maybe she should, but thats another thread.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ta6lqmp0ec.
Barbra was on Jonathan Ross in the UK last night and performed - never listened to her sing before but she was really really good. Could teach all the singers that go on X Factor and the like a thing or two.
regarding being in the house with someone of opposite sex...thats a conscience thing too, the individual decides yet many claim that if they were seen in the house with someone of opposite sex they could stumble people..i think its them who have the problem, how can someone think the worse and make an accusation!?!?!
they are the ones with the problem and should be counselled, not the ones together.
its up to the individuals, we shouldnt have to take on other people consciences and be worried what others say...jehovah sees all things and at the end of the day we stand before jah's throne on judgment day not sister or brother so and so.
I had male friends when I was in and we would hang out at his house on our own, spend time with each other in a non-romantic way and nothing ever happened between us.
Lots of people knew and we never had any issues with anyone querying what we got up to. Men and women can be friends without sex getting in the way. That friendship taught me so much about men and what makes them tick.
no, not the comedy.
i see alot of parents at the kingdom halls - and more than one that i have been to - that pass their children off to other people in the kh all the time.
are the children supposed to be with the parents and not with other people?
i used to let one of the little girls in my cong sit next to me - it was far more entertaining than the meeting!
my mum used to let the same little girl and her brother sit next to her - it brightened up the meetings for her too.
can't believe the COBOE wife brings snacks! never heard of that before!
they were not "open for business" on thursday or sunday.
was there a convention going on somewhere?
.
I was talking to my mum and she mentioned something about the SAD and no meeting.
I switched off at that point...
i know while in the org we get told alot to tell everyone that we are jw's, cos its reputation is so good.
but that dosn't explain why people still refuse to answer the doors to them, or hide when they come aknocking.. so how are jw's really viewed by the outside world?.
After telling a couple of friends that I used to be one they said the only things they knew about were no blood, no christmas and calling on people on a Saturday morning.
I remember being a child in the 80s and hearing householders raising the blood issue but over recent times it would never get raised in FS. Perhaps its a British thing as people are just not that interested in religion over here.
a jw associate emailed this to me.
exudes of typical jw smugness towards "worldly" folks.
has this been your experience in the borg?.
What a load of BS!
on the handy ladies thread, i noticed that loubelle mentioned changing tyres..
it's t-i-r-e.. also, a car has a hood - not bonnet.. and, it's organization - not organisation.. sheesh!.
sylvia.
Undercover - don't get me started on text speak! I hate it with a passion!
just asked a loyal dub i know why has the org now given out a song book, with so many songs taken out?
she looked at her convention notes and replied that the soceity said that some of the songs in the old song book were too difficult for new people to learn to sing.. and this was said with all seriousness... she totaly brought it!.
I find it hilarious that the songs written by the brother who recently got DF'd are still in!
I always found it strange that no matter how many times we sang the songs we still needed to read the words but after a couple of times hearing a song on the radio I could sing along no problem!
The only one I knew off by heart was We're JWs - i used to sit on the bus when I was about 3 years old singing it much to my mums embarassment!
