  BBC Three - Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents - teenager daughter of JW parents!!!

  if you live in the uk tune in to bbc three, the teenage daughter of jw parents go on holiday abroad for the first time with her mates...i can see these parents being called into the back room by the elders on sunday .

  for everyone in the uk the programme will be repeated on Friday at 1030pm and sunday at 1130pm.

  Also on through the night. Just sky plused it to watch later.

  an elder body was removed last year in california.

  most folks have never seen a watchtower letter breaking this news.

  I've heard the term deleted on the board before but thought it was just a term that was used here. It actually is an "official" term! WOW! Still in shock. You learn something new about this decitful organisation all the time.

  BANG OUT OF ORDER

  bang out of order seems to have made a couple of posters laugh on here, as they had never heard it before.. it's wierd for me because it's a saying i have always heard/used...good old british slang.. it means that what someone has said is hurtful and unacceptable.. some slang terms from where i come from in the ''black country''.. up the wooden hills - go to bed.

  Bonk is a hill? New to me.

  Reminds me of 4 weddings and a funeral. Flower girl to bridesmaid - "Whats bonking?" Bridesmaid - "It's a bit like table tennis but with slightly smaller balls". If you haven't worked it out - shagging (sex).

  Hmmm interesting.....I used to live in edinburgh so know some people in that cong but have no idea who it could be. That congregation used to have something like 15 elders in a congregation of about 80 back in the early 90s but now receives mts grads.

  in my attempt to seperate myself from the jw's completely, i am finding all kind of awesome people.

  of course, if we are talking by jw's standards these people are "awful".

  anywho, there are a couple of them who are absolutely fascinated with the fact that i used to be a jw.. the reason they are fascinated is because they are aware of cultish mind-control and understand just how difficult it is to walk away from it all.

  A couple of them do. One of them is fascinated by it and yet makes jokes about it at the same time.

  My friends are very supportive and now realise why i am slightly messed up in the head when it comes to some things eg cultivating real friendships and trust issues.

  Didn't go. Thought about it and then decided i didnt want to be one of their statistics!

  Not sure what i'll tell my family..think lying about going might be the safe option.

  One through my letterbox. They don't know that i'm an ex witness - only recently moved to the area and dont know and witnesses around here.

  My family hasnt mentioned it this year which is strange...cant make up my mind wether to go or not...i dont believe a word of it but it still makes me realise exactly why i left

  Have the rules changed for inactive people?

  cause i see a bunch of inactive doing disfellowshipping things and its known by the elders and the elders aren't doing anything because they are inactive.... so, just wondering if the rules have changed, or there is more of a loophole somewhere that wasn't there before?.

  Is it not also if it is known in the community that you were a witness?

  I know that i am definitley a potential for being d'fed but i live in a city where no one knows that i was a witness, my old congregation don't know where i am and my family seem to accept me (they don't know all the things i do that could get me df'd) so i live a nice peaceful life.
